Anyone have any info on possible coaches? I don't hear much here in Austin.

We're supposed to meet with Payton from Dallas this week.
I think we're meeting with Henderson DC from the Jets today.
Carthon OC from the Browns is supposed to come in later this week.
Word is that Loomis contacted Pat Hill from Fresno St over the weekend, but I can't confirm that.
We may be contacting Lewis DC from the Giants sometime this week.

Does anyone know if the saints are seriously going to interview any of the top teir coachs or are we going to get the fluff job and the go and hire someone from the 49ers asistant to the asistant Special Teams coach.

Top tier? I don't see the Saints as a top tier job in the NFL right now. We waited about a year or 2 too long to fire Haz. We can attract an up and coming coach, but no way will an experience NFL coach come to this group, not with how the organization and owner behaved this year, and in past years for that matter.

Would you want to come coach for Benson's team if you were in the top tier? But and up and coming coach, one who wants to make a break as a head coach, is who we are going to attract.

BUT we will get something new, meaning we won't play down to our competittion week after week, and we will have a chance something "different" or successful will happen. That's what excites me.

From all I read, it seems the Saints are too busy moving back to NO and will begin the process of interviewing (seriously) this week.

What a bunch of idiots we have in the FO! :(

Guys to change my answer it really could be anyone, if you think about.

I read that somewhere to Biloxi, also that alot of the good ones are getting eatin up very quickly and I don't see why we are wasting time, unless of course the Saints already know who the new headcoach will be?

Don't forget that a team cannot speak to a coach on a playoff team until they are out of the race. That is the only consolation I have right now. The way the Skins defense looked I'd like to know more about Greg Williams.
