I'm not too excited about either of these candidates.

The sherminator... I like this guy.... his teams have always been in the playoffs except this last season when he was missing: Ahman Green, Javon Walker, Bubba Franks, best two lineman, Najeh Davenport, and pretty much every good player on the team with the exception of Favre.

yeah but doesn't anyone thing Sherm was handed a playoff team when Holm left and its gone down hill since holm left.

I agree with ScottyRo. I think that Sherman took the rap for all of the injuries that the Packers suffered this year. If you look at the list of impact players they lost, you would be hard pressed to make an arguement that they could have won as many games as they did. Besides, of all the coaches who were fired this season, Sherman had the best winning percentage, by far, especially if you do not count this injury-riddled season. Another possible upside of hiring Sherman, is the likelyhood of enticing Favre to the Big Easy, to play for a year or two.
