man that is tough. i think i would like to see them trade down and get a 2nd and third this year and a first next year if that is possible. that is me though. i always love getting extra picks

i agree with u....matt is more polished than vince and is more accurate than him.....vince is a smarter and faster version of brooks....strong arm can throw the bullet but can't throw an accurate deep ball...or put a soft touch a the ball or lead the wr enough to get some yac yards......

Ngata's injuries scare me, especially that knee. I don't want a big guy with a bad knee injury. And Jimmy Williams is so big that he is projected to be more of a Safety than a CB. And I think we already have the two safeties for the future. Unless of course they want to move Dwight Smith back to CB.

leinart won't be ready to take the team on his back in order to win games next year, but he is ready to be a manager of the offense. if the FO wants someone to try to carry the team on his back next year they need to trade for (there are no FAs capable of that) a QB who can.

young will be a good to great qb some day, but as chermy says..."we need to win now." leinart is the most nfl ready and will also be a good to great qb some day. young will have to have a year or 2 before he can start (why titans are perfect for him) and leinart is ready to start today and lead the saints to victory today.

I see us trading up due to pressure from tags and all the help the help the NFL is offering Tommy Boy to stay in NO. How else do put the siants as opening day and christmas eve national TV? Do i agree? NO but i think it out of our hands. Maybe cold pizza knows more than we think. If this happens i would love to see us trade out and get AJ.

I agree with BnB. In the end, I believe that Lienart is the better bet over Young. I'm not saying that Young will not be a great QB, but look at the facts. How many "running quarterbacks" helped their respective teams to the playoffs this year? How many pocket passers? How many "running QB's" have won a Super Bowl? How many pocket passers?
Vince Young is essentially a "run first/throw later" QB. It would take a few years to turn him into a productive pocket passer, and as we've seen with Vick, that transition is not always a smooth one, nor is the results gauranteed. I'm not saying that Lienart is a "sure thing", but he is already molded into what has been proven time and again in the NFL to be a "more" successful QB.

I think Oakland will put together a stronge bid for #2. if so choice would be cutler and hype or Williams CB in the draft that could be a true shut down CB. He is the only true CB and not a tweener. In that case i would trade down with arizona 1 place if they are high on cutler and go with williams and pick up more picks in the 2 and 3 rounds. all would be in the top 7 of each round.

if for some reason we don't draft leinart and we trade down i want hawk. if we walk out of this draft in april without leinart or hawk i will be VERY upset. as a long time saints fan i am used to being upset with the franchise. if they drafted half of the players i asked for they would not be picking #2 this year.

Go with Leinart, then go out & sign Jon Kitna to be the starter next season.

Why get Kitna when Leinart is NFL ready? No sense, but I would like Hawk or D'Brick, which I highly doubt we would try. No on Ngata. Williams would be good, but if between Young and Leinart, Young.

i'm in the trade down group though it doesn't have to be hawk, there are other quality players and i like the idea of having more picks to fill the obvious holes this swiss cheese team has.
