What, the joke, or that he admits to using viagra? :P

Can anyone give me a good reason why we would select Pope, with Carpenter, Brooks, and Jackson sitting there? I like Pope, but damn.

because the saints franchise in the previous past has always drafted for potential on offense over need on defense.

poor virginia

you're thinking of the wrong brooks.

January 14
(6:00 PM): Top LB to stick with school... Correspondent Jason W. has let us know that Virginia junior LB Ahmad Brooks has announced that he will be staying in school. Brooks had been a potential top 5-10 pick entering the season, but was limited to just 6 games because of a series of injuries.

lol spk I got a kick out of that one...

Actually I don't think their Oakland mock is all that bad... remember Mathias was a sure top 10 pick last year, but he decided to come back to get his degree for his mother. If it weren't for the injuries he sustained this year, I think he still would have been the top rated DE in the draft. Burgess on one end and Mathias on the other would be sick... kind of like Mathis and Freeney. Even though A.J. has character issues, no doubt is he a very good player.

Yea... that Pope thing makes no sense. I think pretty soon every team is going to be looking for the next Antonio Gates.

No way we take a TE in any round this year. Not a huge area of need right now and even if it was it's not that big.

not to pick on the handicapped, but this guy is a retard if he thinks the saints need a te more than a lb,dt,ot,og,cb

HAHA, holy hell spk, that was hilarious.

Anyways, the guy who did this draft is just dumb. No way we take Pope. A TE just isn't that important compared to holes at LB, DT, and CB. Also, we have HIlton who seemed to show a lot of promise this year.
