Payton Press Conference
 

Just watched it on www.neworleanssaints.com (it's the front story, just click on the link). Payton seems to be a very non-sensical guy. Cool, calm, collected. Learned a few things:

- Will most likely call his own plays
- Will most likely bring in a new coaching staff (says that the right thing to do is to study and critique old coaching staff and decide who stays, but that means he'd see how crappy Venturi and the others have been)
- Assistant coaches will most likely not be able to talk to the media.

Watch the rest, and enjoy. Guy seems very excited about the opportunity, and he really seems like he wants to turn this team into a winner, a team that the entire Gulf Region can be proud of.

Would somebody please keep our owner away from the mic? What was that "I better not say that"? And I believe he prounounced Sean phonetically at one point (see-ann). I know he's old...I'll be happy to not be crapping myself when i'm 78, but damn, just stay away from the microphone.

Almost forgot....I like payton in front of the mic. Composed and straightforward....I'm starting to like this dude. We're going to the superbowl :P

I'm liking payton aswell. After seeing his press conference I believe he can bring some much needed discipline to this team. I can't stand another year being among the league leaders in turnovers and penalties.

Now he needs to build a solid staff.

I feel very good about this guy!
