How about Schaub, could we get him

I would love to have Atlanta's Schaub in N.O, I wonder if there's something we could offer the Falcons to get him in N.O?
I really like that guy, I prefer him over Vick, I'm sure the Falcons wouldn't want to part with him.
What do you all think?

With Vick getting injured every year and missing some games they want to keep him becasue he can go in and win...

Yeah I don't see us being able to get him with the injuries, some teams really do need 2 capable QB's, atl is one of them. Plus it would cost a lot to get him.

No way the Falcons let a division rival get a guy who is as talented as Schaub. This guy could come in and start right away.

NO way in hell, as awesome as it would be. If Falclowns started him( over overated, i mean Vick) they would have made the playoffs. But you cant sit a guy that makes the $$$ that Vick does

Don't know if he has re-nego since his signing. But here ya go....

Matt Schaub

Signed by Atlanta Falcons on July 27, 2004.

Signed to a three-year contract worth $1.365 million and includes a $445,000 signing bonus. His base salaries will be: $230,000 (2004); $305,000 (2005); and $385,000 (2006). He will have cap figures of: $378,333 (2004); $453,333 (2005); and $533, 334 (2006).

6-5, 237? Wow.

He'll probably teat the market and if he is offered anything worth a damn, then Atlanta won't match it. Atlanta is obviously committed to Vick, just like we were with Brooks. Delhomme tried once or twice and the first he wasnt offered nothing so we retained him. The second time of course, he becomes a SB contender with a decent contract.

Personally, I like Shaub. Forgot which draft it was, but there were some pretty highly rated qb's before him. He did go to the same school as Brooks....makes me quiver, but I like his talents....Also, if we did pick up Shaub, it would be like a draft pick and has shown he could play in this league.

Also, if we fill our roster with quality free agents we can minimize our needs in the draft, trade down since we don't have a 3rd rd pick and pick up extra picks, or take a young or Leinart and let them battle it out.

I will be all for helping this guy testing the free agent market, If the Saints offered him a little more at least we could help the Falcons spend some of their money if we didn't get him.
