Ty Law a Free Agent
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2332389
I know a few of you will say he's too old, but 10 Ints last year say differently. Tell me that Ty Law and Mike McKenzie would not be a formidable combo. Hell, it'd increase our sack totals because of the coverage available. Add to that Thomas as a Nickle Back (or switch McKenzie to nickle) and thats a tough DB squad. |
RE: Ty Law a Free Agent
He ain't cheep, thats why he's free.
|
RE: Ty Law a Free Agent
Not gonna happen. Nope, no way. I don't even know if I'd want him. He kinda disappeared into mediocrity last season.
|
RE: Ty Law a Free Agent
Disappeared into mediocrity? I'm sorry he tied for the most Interceptions in the league at ten. Had 45 tackles and 17 assists. He was on a team that was only marginally better than ours and still made the Pro-Bowl as an alternate.
I can understand not wanting him because of the money, which would be considerable, but don't say the guy's lost his touch. |
Ty Law still has a lot to offer, I'd take him in a heartbeat,
he's a top 5 corner if you ask me |
Sounds like a good idea...structure a long-time contract. ;0)
|
One of the best CB to ever play in the leaugue! Unfortunately, our FO won't dish out the kind of money he'll be asking.

One can dream, but it will never happen. I say he ends up back in New England for the hometown discount. Now that someone else won this year, the Pats will win the next two. :P
|
Law could play on my team if the price is right.
|
Deuce, good to see someone on the internet actually admit when they make stuff up. But you're right, it's the reason we didn't go after him last year, and the reason we won't this year. The front office is too tight with the money on real talent. But man would it be sweet.
|
Go for a true #1 in the draftand pray. We are too cheap for F/A. He may end up in NE if he wants another ring. Wierd about the loyality they can get from players. But the $$$ does talk and he got a truck load for 1 year of play. He showed he is back but those teeth are getting a bit long.
|
Shoot I wouldnt mind Ty Law ppl said he was done........ but he did have a good year sign em...................... he would help out or D alot.................
|
If the price was right...take him....move Brown to nickel.....any reason to cut Craft is a good one....
But I think he'll go back to New England....... we can always wish... |
law is great, but he will cost too much and our secondary is good enough. mckenzie and thomas make good starters. what we need to do is cut brown and craft, and pick up some better depth.
law would be a great addition, but we can better use the money on more glaring holes. qb and lb. |
just cut craft im tired of seeing him get burned........
|
We have WAY too many areas in need of immediate importance to fill. Not that our secondary is perfect by any means it's just that we need to fill other positions more. Don't get me wrong I'd love to have the guy on our team for the right price but we really need other positions more.
