All-Time Saints Team

OK, time to sound-off and strike up some debate. Here is your chance to put together your All-Time Saints Team. Here's mine:

Coach: Mora

OFFENSE
QB: Hebert
RB: McAllister
FB: Terrelle Smith
WR(2): Horn, Eric Martin
TE: Hoby Brenner
C: Hilgenberg
T/G(4): Roaf, Turley, Brock, Dombrowski
KR: McAfee
K: Andersen
P: Barnhardt

DEFENSE
LB(4): Mills, Jackson, Swilling, V. Johnson
DE(2): Wayne Martin, Joe Johnson
DT(2): Glover, Hand
CB: Mike McKenzie, Dave Waymer
S: Sammy Knight

My picks are heavily influenced by the era that I grew up in watching the Saints. I know this may not make a complete team, but, IMO, it's the best of the best.

RE: All-Time Saints Team

Ok...I'm Game.

QB: Hebert
RB: Hilliard
WR: Horn, Martin
TE: Brenner
FB: Hayward (Ironhead 4-ever)
DT: Goff, Glover
DE: Martin, W. Smith
ILB: Johnson, Mills, Fields
OLB: Swilling, Jackson
S: Knight, Atkins (All-time Crusher)
CB: Buck, Cook
K: Andersen
P: Barnhardt

My situation is the same as mjf, these are the All-time Saints that I have seen play.

Hayward, Fields, and Atkins are three really good ones that I overlooked. Buck is another good one.

<SIGH>....yeah....the good ol' days...;0)

I'm okay with all of them except QB . . . I would select Archie. If he had the offense line that Payton has he would have put similar numbers. The guy was a great QB.

McAfee is a great ST player, but as a kick returner its gotta be tyrone hughes! 2 NFL records that I can think of. What about Wesley Walls as TE, I know he wasn't here as long as Brenner, but he was a player!

Put Lorenzo Neal at FB & we got ourselves a team!

Aww ghandi...I just can't do that. I remember how effective Neal was but...Ironhead was DA BOMB! I can rarely remember a time when a second or third and short was not converted into a first down. The guy was massive, a great runner for his size and a pretty good blocker as well.

Yeah, but Neal's one of the best blocking FB's of all time.
