JETS LOOKING TO SWAP WITH SAINTS?

There’s talk in league circles that the New York Jets are sufficiently smitten with Vanderbilt quarterback Jay Cutler to prompt serious consideration by the front office of a trade up in the April draft from the No. 4 overall spot to No. 2, which pick currently is held by the Saints.

The Jets’ objective would be to leapfrog the Titans, who sit and No. 3 – and who likewise are thought to be thinking seriously about drafting Cutler.

The only hitch is that the Saints are believed to be primarily interested in USC quarterback Matt Leinart, who very well could be plucked by the Titans at No. 3 if Cutler is off the board.

Nah If we do that then Titans wiill take Young i mean Mcnair could teach him and its just a perfect fit for him there............. As long as the jets select cutler there then im happy with that but if they screw us and take leinart that would suck alot ..........

No way I do this trade. The Titans would take Leinart in a New York Minute, leaving us with Vince Young. Uh-uh. No thanks. Unless the Jets give us the keys to the world, no way. And why would they trade up for Cutler? I am damn sure he will be there at 4. Tenn is just saying they would take Cutler to deflect and make the Jets make a foolish move.

If this is true and Mangini Likes what he sees in Cutler this should make you wonder who is the better talent seeing that Mangini is only comming over from the team with the best Draft Talent Evaluation over the Past 8 Years.

This whole thing is pre-draft B.S. No way will the Jets trade UP to get Cutler. Jets could trade down several spots and still get him, if that really is their man. My guess is if the Jets really said this, they have every intention on grabbing Leinart. It would be very interesting to see which team started this rumor...

Trading down 2 or 3 spots is going to get us a ton of picks this year and next maybe a first rounder or two next year, a couple of veteran players and maybe Jay Cutler. I would still prefer Hawk but we are going to need to fill some holes after the cutting starts.

Are there really that many Leinart lovers on this board the guy is hanging with the Newlyweds for gods sake. Really focused on football.. Premaddanna.

Still on this Oakland stuff???? This isn't Madden '06. You can't make teams trade with you just because u want them to.

Even if the Raiders do want Leinart, I'm quite sure they aren't ready to give us what they should for a #2 overall pick. There is a reason teams don't trade out of that pick, and it's because no one's willing to mortgage their entire draft for it. Besides, the Raiders are highly optimistic that Andrew Walter will be their QB of the future.

And Ferguson wouldn't last that far down anyway, so we'd be screwed two ways.

this does note even make sense...saints won't take cutler, titans won't take cutler, so cutler would be available for the jets at their current pick, why on earth would they trade down?

more freakin pics... No matter who we grab at number, won't do that much to help this team... we need as many pics as we can sink out teeth into. We need to start from the lines and build this team and then worry about bodies in key positions.

no way i make this trade. only reason being is chow and the tit5ans sitting at 3 are taking matt if the jets swap up to get cutler. wew get stuck with young. no thanks. let someone else have that project
