Seahawks placed their transition tag on guard Steve Hutchinson.
It's a little surprising he didn't get the franchise, but the Seahawks reportedly wanted to avoid a possible holdout. Now Hutchinson agent can sign a deal with another team and the Seahawks will have the option to match it. Many observers expect a long-term deal to be worked out with the Seahawks.

Sounds like the Seahawks know something we did not?
Maybe they are just not as smart as us.
Maybe a perinnal pro bowl G is not a dime a dozen in the NFL!
