We would only need a good DT as long as we keep everyone else in place now to complete the defense. Then we could concentrate on QB, OL and WR's.

I can tell you one thing... TB will not cut Derrick Brooks. He's the backbone of that defense... they're already going to let Quarles go... it's like taking two steps backwards after playing so well last year.

the D needs a dt yes but that will not fix the D. to many players playing out of place. Prime need is a SLB. If Mckinnon was 5 years younger we would be set at MLB. The offense needs to be addressed I agree. The QB bit is tuff to call with Payton at HC. C,G,T all need to be addressed. As for WR I will say it again, "forget the speed and go for a guy with hands." 4.5 beats a 4.3 if you drop more than you catch.

I forget how old is McKinnon? I really like that guy. Plays hard and hits hard every down. Quarles and Hawk? Wow...at least for the time being we would look like the Bears of this past season. Which isn't really bad but eventually some offensive firepower would have to be attained.

I gotta "what if" for yall....what if tom benson spent more money on upgrading the team and kept good front office people (e.g. Randy Mueller)?

never say never, cuz buc fans never thought they'd actually get rid of John Lynch and they did, they also got rid of warren sapp. Two HUGE fan favorites, so it is possible that they cut brooks. I'm sure they will first try to restructure a deal, but he is a HUGE cap hit and without a new cba could end up looking for a new team.

What if we picked up LB Shelton Quarles & DT Sam Adams, and drafted Matt Leinart & Bobby Carpenter. The defense would be a heck of a lot better & we would have a competent leader at QB! As much as I like A.J. Hawk, Leinart & Carpenter sound a heck of a lot better than Hawk & another Bozo at QB.

On the McKinnon thing, I still think he has a few good years left in him.

Cool. He needs to get resigned. He was one of the bright spots on our defense last year. He's a very good run stopper.
