LeCharles Bentley
I live in the Philadelphia area, and one of the things they talk about on sports radio is how the Eagles are definitely going to get Bentley, after the Saints don't resign him. What does anyone think about us resigning Bentley? In case we don't resign him should we go after Kevin Mawae?

RE: LeCharles Bentley
Kevin Mawae scares me a little because he's 35 and coming off an injury. I would love to have him, but not for a huge contract.

RE: LeCharles Bentley
Justin Hartwig Ht: 6-4 Wt: 300
Justin Hartwig is a technically sound offensive lineman which tends to lean towards physical play. Displaying the ability to maintain and finish blocks well, Hartwig positions himself well and can block the second level of defense. While not being overly athletically gifted, Hartwig uses physical power to his advantage in run blocking. A better run blocker than pass blocker at this time, he should improve with further experience. Handles bigger defensive tackles well, but does have some problems with quicker defensive tackle types on occasion. http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=211&p=8...06&nid=2002074 Vince Manuwai Ht: 6-2 Wt: 304 G in project and could switch. Who knows Mangold wight be there at 34 Andre Gurode Ht: 6-4 Wt: 316 Dallas is who we will end up with probly |
RE: LeCharles Bentley
I would like to have Manuwai even thuogh for Guard. I doubt Jaguars will let him go without a fight thuogh.

RE: LeCharles Bentley
pass on manuwai. and the Jags aren't that high on him right now, and are seeking his replacement.

RE: LeCharles Bentley
LOL when we don't get anyone good via the draft and no good FA u guys will see what a big mistake not resigning Bentley is. Saints are horrible at replacing star players. They suck at talent evaluation. They got lucky when they picked Bentley and they think they can do it again.

RE: LeCharles Bentley
to be honest, your claims would be valid up until the regime change. honestly, i don't know what to expect with this new coaching crew, but i will be keeping a very close eye on the changes that they make, and draw my assessment from there.

dude, if you don't think the coaching staff has a major say as to who we sign and don't sign, i don't know what else to say to you. Yeah, the final decision falls on Loomis, but don't kid yourself, he doesn't just arbitrarily sign whoever the hell he feels like it. he leans heavily on mueller, then the coaching staff. i'd walk away from the whole organization if he was the end all be all. thats funny stuff, now that i think about it....

you know with bentley, even though he's probably gone, i think the only one that has a shot at resigning him is the new coach. bridges have already been burned higher up. it's slim and none at this point, but there's always a chance...........smitty |
