Apparently, Saban was worried Brees wouldnt make it out of N.O.... so he flew to Alabama to meet with Brees before he could make it to the Saints... INTERCEPTION MIAMI!! :twisted:

I've been wondering this Euphoria... you're against bringing Brees here and you're against drafting Matt Leinart... so who do you want to be our quarterback next season? Aaron Brooks? Vince Young? Or, are you suggesting we start D'Brick at quarterback?

I don't know Euph definately knows more about the guy than I do. One thing I know for sure is that he'd probably be a tough cookie to sack.

Some fans are what we call eternal dissenters. Whatever the team is trying to do it's the wrong move. I would think he would be in favor of this move, since it would free up our #2 overall to either TRADE DOWN or pick Ferguson(both are scenarios he was in favor of)Besides letting Bentley go, I think this could be one of the best offseasons of Saints history if everything falls into place.

Nothing comes to mind why anybody wouldn't want Drew, this guy is the real deal, complete package, smart, hard to bring down, makes good decisions under pressure and has a good strong arm.

although i was worried about the shoulder but from what i read the doc is saying he will be fine and he is ahead of schedu;e

Every time a vet player is offered a contract, there is the de rigour physical that needs to be passed before the deal is actually done... unless Loomis' IQ drops into the negative numbers, and either waives the physical or ignores a major physical flaw, I am sure that the shoulder will be scrutinized by the Saints staff, and that Brees will not be here if they find something wrong...

... not that he cannot re-injure it, but you know how that goes...
