Raise your hand if...........
You are excited about this upcoming season. I don't think I was this excited since Has.'s first year when we jumped quickly into free agency and then went to the Playoffs. Wait that does scare me alittle.

RE: Raise your hand if...........
i am excited. have a feeling of hope for once

RE: Raise your hand if...........
Of course... I'm finally happy we're trying to sign marquee free agents. I thought it wasn't going to heat up til after the draft but it's definately adding some much needed excitement sooner.
:cheering: |
RE: Raise your hand if...........
I agree with all ya'll....great time to be a Saint fan......
Maybe it's finaly our turn to shine......<ching> |
RE: Raise your hand if...........
After this past season, there is nowhere to go but up. I won't be too excited this early unless we make a splash in free agency and the draft.

RE: Raise your hand if...........
ditto d_it_up2.
OL is not even topic yet. Niether is the DT and MLB. I love what Cleveland did on day one. The money maybe much but they are serious and Romeo is not flirting there. He is going for that gold box head on. Now they have a reason to be excited. Till I see some pick ups like those I will not leave the bar stool to dance with the dogs. |
RE: Raise your hand if...........
Yeah I'm Jazzed for this year...Witherspoon would really solidify our D
|
RE: Raise your hand if...........
mee too.....i'll really be excited if we sign brees and a top lb or cb
|
OK, exactly who have we signed so far that I am suppose to be all excited about. You guys gotta learn...talk is cheap. If you can get excited about talking about signing this guy or that, then more power to you. I get excited when I see that the deal is official. Obviously, I don't get excited very often.
|
Well all of these comments were made when it was rumored that we were in the running for Witherspoon and Brees. Most everyone expected us to lock these two down, and we still may get Brees. NO seems to be completely inept at closing the deal quickly, which is what most top free agents want.

Nothing to be excited about
|
I'm very excited. However, a lot of that excitement plays on the actions of the Saints between here and Pre-Season time. I'm always stoked about the next Saints season but lets get real...if they are going to pull a bunch of boneheaded moves...then my 170.00 dollars towards my Sunday Ticket are gonna hurt to let go.

I'm excited, just wish we'd sign someone already...

I want to be excited. I want to see this as the golden oppertunity it is. But Benson and the Front Office are doing what they've done for years...
- Bring in ONE big name to make it look like we're players in the FA market (but not sign him). - Wait out the first round of FA and then go for the secondary Journeymen that are available/left. I want action. I wanted our FA period to look more like Cleveland's or St Loius'. There are two teams that attacked the open market and got what they needed. |
greetings all, i haven't been around due to being parked in st. bernard parish for work. not just no internet, no aything there.
anyhoo, you better be excited if you are a lifelong saint fan. january to mid april is THE highlight of most saint seasons! of course the free agent signing period comes and that takes a little of the glimmer off because no LB or obvious need was addressed. well, maybe a second tier player gets plugged in. this front office does seem to see something in players that no one else can see sometime though. can you say dale carter, LOL. okay, free agency passes but there is still the draft right? hope springs eternal! we're gonna get marcus trufant, the best cb on the board- uh, no. okay, a LB higher than the 3rd Rd... odell thurman in the second, eeeha- uh, no. somehow, someway, maybe the chase lyman picks will fulfill something we fans cannot see and we'll win anyway. history is history. wipe the slate and a fresh start for the payton regime. there IS money to be spent. go out and gett'em, make it happen. hell, james will leave a contender and go to arizona for enough bucks. i am always as excited as i can be. the more impact names that sign on the dotted line, the more that will be. |
I was really hoping that this year would be different from all the other years as an organization under Benson. Alas, it looks like an exact replica so far. Big names coming and going, speculation, great TALK fom the front office and coaching staff. And then other teams are making all the moves, free agency dies down and we end up signing someone who was injured and might work out to be a great addition for the money. Please prove me wrong, please, please, please! God, we go through the same highs and lows in the off-season as we do in the regular season, it's just not right for one team and it's fans to have to go through this year after frickin' year! Ok, off to the AA meeting I go, I'll see y'all there.
