The All Haslett Team

While we're waiting in agony to figure out what happens with Brees, let's have a little diversion.

Who should be on the roster?? Pick the All-Haslett team!!! Give us who and why, I'm ready for some pure comedy gold.

RE: The All Haslett Team

I'll start... starting at free safety... Tebucky Jones! Never in my life have I seen anyone tackle air the way he does.

RE: The All Haslett Team

How about Jonathon Sullivan? Nobody opens a hole for running backs like Sully!!!!!

RE: The All Haslett Team

LB, Sedrick Hodge. Hellz yeah. This guy is a great talent, but don't worry about that injury in training camp, I'm sure he'll shake it off before the season starts.

RE: The All Haslett Team

I'll go with defense too and pick:

Cie Grant!! Hekuva player who is going to be the next Brian Urlacher...

BrooksMustGo 03-13-2006 07:29 PM

RE: The All Haslett Team

LT--John Stinchcomb--Who needs Willie Roaf? He's such a great talent at LT that he can be drafted in the 2nd round and never start.

papz 03-13-2006 07:33 PM

RE: The All Haslett Team

Starting in the middle... Cie Grant. This Ray Lewis type talent can roll his wheel chair around with the best of them. He was once clocked a 2.8 40 with his turbo charged wheel chair... the man is a beast. I also heard he once took off his off his leg and beat a man to a pulp because he looked at him funny.

Crap TR... I was writing this up while you posted it already.

RE: The All Haslett Team

Too easy. Has to be brooks, opposing defense's MVP 16 games a season. Thought enough of him not to draft a solid backup

RE: The All Haslett Team

The PA system crackles to life and then----Starting at WR for your New Orleans Saints All Haz Team Chase Lyman...He had som many injuries in college that we didn't think he had anything left to injure, we were wrong

^Where do you go to college, bmg?

I have to go with Albert Connell. If you ever need to collect cash owed to you by a teammate, he's the man for the job!

Law school up in Arkansas. I'm a career changer, so I feel like 1000 years old. Albert "ATM" Connell is classic Haslett guy too.

jrmllb 03-14-2006 10:54 AM

maybe if Haz had put that much effort in find a QB we would not be in the position we are in now, stuck with an expensive load of bricks no one wants

TheDeuce 03-14-2006 11:00 AM

Don't worry jrm, we're going to sign the future of our franchise.... Josh McCown! :band:

turbo_dog 03-14-2006 08:51 PM

This was a great thread, fellas. Really made me laugh.

Maybe Onomo Ojo should be added to the list. lol

BrooksMustGo 03-14-2006 08:57 PM

Crap, I totally forgot about Ojo. Gosh I LOVED that guy, he's the perfect Haslett project player. We could fill 3 rosters with all of Jim's "any day now they'll be ready to start, huge upside" project players.

I think that McCown blew us off to go to talk to Oakland after the Brees signing today.

dale carter a true shutdown corner

buzwa 03-15-2006 11:59 AM

Keyuo Craver. Oh yeah dont forget the ill-fated attempt to bring in Jeff Lewis as a legit backup for Brooks. Also, who was that RB that backed up Deuce for a couple years? That guy was terrible! And we also wasted a draft pick trading for Curtis Keaton (He just needed to learn the offense... )
