Stallworth and Horn
Must be licking their chops with the Brees signing, bring on the Falcons, we'll be ready for them this year.
It's our turn to shine |
RE: Stallworth and Horn
man i hope so. i hope this is our year. i will tell you after the last few seasons i will take a team that fights hard each week and is trying to get better. i don't think i could have handled another year of the same ol same with haz.

RE: Stallworth and Horn
If Horn stays healthy, he becomes a pro-bowler again this year with Brees at QB.
|
RE: Stallworth and Horn
i love that pepper is now the safer bet for the dolphins but when it looked like they would take brees he was the safer pick.

"If Horn stays healthy, he becomes a pro-bowler again this year with Brees at QB."
I agree. |
RE: Stallworth and Horn
i agree
|
RE: Stallworth and Horn
They should both have better years with the ball in a catchable position and thrown at some speed other than "fastball". Brees doesn't usually set his WRs up to get hammered by the safety.
|
RE: Stallworth and Horn
Can you imagine what our receivers will do now that they do not have to dig the ball out of the dirt, jump 10 ft. in the air, or completely change directions just to catch a pass? We have receivers with great YAC ability, but we were never able to use it. God forbid Brooks throw the football in stride.
|
RE: Stallworth and Horn
Stallworth was awesome with YAC when the ball wasn't on his shoe...watch the tapes of him in college if you can find them
|
RE: Stallworth and Horn
Yessir, I am DEFINATLEY glad about the Brees signing. So the talk about trading of Stallworth is off now, eh? haha j/p. I am excited now.
|
RE: Stallworth and Horn
brees was a pro-bowler with some crappy wrs...granted he did have gates...imagine what he will do with a decent wr core.
|
RE: Stallworth and Horn
Guys, not to be a buzz-kill, but if we don't get some beef on the line, you're going to think you were in Mr. Peabody's 'Way-Back Machine' looking at Bobby Hebert getting sacked all over the place!
|
RE: Stallworth and Horn
D'brick or a quality OT at #34 would keep the ends protected. adding at least one journeyman FA signing in between would be a decent turnaround.
i think it will be intriguing to see how many "drops" there will be this season. smiley was a gunslinger but threw some very difficult balls to catch. the way hilton came on in the last half and the way brees used gates ya gotta think he may be a big breakout player this season too. |

RE: Re: RE: Stallworth and Horn
The fact that the statistic is called dropped passes implies that the balls were catchable. Of course, even if they did catch all of them, AB's stats still would have been godawfull.
|
RE: Re: RE: Stallworth and Horn
OK then I will give you the benefit of the doubt on the one hoppers, but 2 hands on the ball IS catchable...although this year the excuse can be "We are not used to the spin drew puts on the ball"
|
RE: Re: RE: Stallworth and Horn
i agree that our receiving core had a tough year last year, but how can you expect them to cath a ball from someonne who is throwing it behind him one down and to the cheerleaders the next. it isnt just fans that can loose faith in a player especially from someone like smilling brooks
|
RE: Re: RE: Stallworth and Horn
Dude I bet Stallworth and Horn are cutting back flips!!!!! I cant wait till opeaning day !!!! We might actually score on our opening drives !!!!
|
RE: Re: RE: Stallworth and Horn
We need to go O-line in the first cause Brees will be toast if we dont. I think Stallpepper can also have a pro-bowl type year if the ball is in front of him and not in the dirt.
