It's a joke. I didn't read the article since I'm not an ESPN insider, but the headline

QB Brooks visits Bucs made me chuckle.

I doubt he'd let himself be a backup so I doubt he'd sign with them, and I don't think they are stupid, but...

Wouldn't it be priceless if for some reason (Sims/Griese Injured), he was starting for the bucs when we played them? He'd be our secret weapon!

Do you think he'd throw any backward passes for them?

You have to remember that Brooks gave the Bucs brain damage for years. Brook isn't as bad as many people make him out to be. He could excel in the Bucs offense.

He might, but I doubt it. Gruden requires intelligent QB play, fast decision making and quick release. Not strengths for AB.

He would do himself a lot of favors by either talking to the Raiders or Arizona. The Raiders will probably want to throw the ball a mile every time and Denny Green is a genius at getting above average results from below average players.

agreed. it took Simms 2 years to grasp Gruden's playbook. that's equal to about 10 for Aaron....

If AB saw that he'd probably be pretty upset. I think he'd say, "10 years? It wouldn't take me 10 years to learn the playbook. It'd probably just take a decade."

forever, brooks will not be any better anywhere else. he won't get a starting job and if he is pushed into one i hope that team play us. if he does sgin with tampa and simms gets hurt i hope we play them twice after. that will be fun

I really don't care where AB lands, as long it is not back with the SAINTS!

I wish him no ill will, but as long is he is not wearing black and gold...don't let the door knob hit you in the arse as you leave AB.

Brooks is like the scarecrow on The Wizard Of Oz, he has no brain and no the great OZ can't give him a brain, Brooks reminds me of a car I had once, it shifted into gear every once in a while, rest of the time it slipped so badly I couldn't use the car much.

..if you've ever seen the Gruden bit (In Their Own Words) on the NFL Network, you'd know why Brooks cannot play QB for him... guy's coaching 2nd string QB after he screws up in practice, telling him something like "it's not 37 wide right shuffle big gap left huckleberry down shadow 45 delta delta arrow alley oop blue deep on 3, it is 37 wide right shuffle big gap left huckleberry UP shadow 45 delta delta arrow alley oop blue deep on 3"...

...if you think Brooks is going to pick that up, well...
