ESPN's Len Pasquarelli reports the Indianapolis Colts have reached an agreement in principle with free agent PK Adam Vinatieri (Patriots). Although a deal has not been finalized, it could be completed as early as Tuesday evening, March 21.

Totally out of left field. Would be totally poetic if Vinatieri kicks the Pats out of appearing in another superbowl.

... dumb move by the Patriots, unless Vinatieri wanted out. this guy cold-bloodedly kicked 2 winning SB field goals that were not chipshots by any means, not to mention the kick he made in the snow against Oakland...
