OG Larry Allen Dallas Cut
Cowboys | Allen released
Tue, 21 Mar 2006 16:51:43 -0800 The Dallas Cowboys have announced the team has released OG Larry Allen. Allen, the final player left from Dallas' most recent Super Bowl team, is going into his 13th season. No longer the immovable force he once was, the team opted to let him go rather to pay him a $2 million roster bonus he was due April 1. The move also saves them about $3.5 million towards next season's salary cap http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?...nfl&id=2378921 Got to have 1 or 2 years left. Do we sign him?[/url] |
If they want him and he wants to come here.

How hard of a sell is it going to take to get him here?

well that would make our line lil better
Well, I just read on another SAINT site that the Cowboys released him because they said he is lazy and overweight. They wanted to release him last year but could not find a replacement for him. I say....let him alone.

13 years... pass
For the first time ever, Euph got it right. Pass. lol
3rd post of it. it was really good LOL
I'm with Euph. The Tuna doesn't get rid of old veteran players that he thinks can still play. Pass.
Still can play... my take is that it was a salary cap move. Could be wrong but Fontenot played for a long time and he never was the player Allen was.
take him for Veteran Minimum with play time incentives. If he's used up he'll be gone in the pre-season.
