Monday Night Football on ESPN
Is it me or does anyone thinks that ESPN really needs to think through their selections for tha announcer's booth? Look who they got: Mike Tirico, Tony Kornheiser and (of all morons) Joe Theismann.
I don't know about you, but I prefer the Guinness men. 'BRILLIANT!!" Oh yeah, Fox need to replace Jillian Barbarie with The Weather Channel's Hillary Andrews :goodidea: |
RE: Monday Night Football on ESPN
Jillian Barbarie does a gooood job............

I watch the game to watch the game... whoever is in the booth or the sidelines doesn't mattter much to me...
I'd have to say, though, last year Tirico did a couple games with Sterling Sharpe, and they did very well.. |
1st, they purged themselves of Mike Patrick, which makes me so happy on so many different levels, I don't know where to begin. Cutting Paul Maguire is fine, knowledgeable guy, but his schtick with Joe was getting old.
Joe doesn't bother me as much as he does others. But adding Kornheiser was a stroke of genius. I hated the guy for the longest time, but he is an extremely intelligent man, and won't take any **** from Joe, which will be funny the first time it happens. I like Tirico, when I watched him do a few college games, he never got in the way of the action. He recognizes that he is an accessory, and not the main event. |

I like the cast of MNF on ESPN. I just hope they are able to maintain that "ambiance" that Sunday Night Football had. Sunday night was most times better than monday night, in my opinion
|
Signing Kornheiser was BRILLIANT!!! I love this guy. PTI is hilarious because of him and Wilbon. I think he brings so much wit, knowledge, and humor to the game, but I also think he recognizes that his job is to talk about sports, not be a sideshow.

i love the korn but probably wouldn't shed a tear for theis if he got ran over by l.t.
