The New Orleans Saints received one compensatory pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. It was pick No. 44 in the seventh round or No. 252 overall.

And our pick was to fufill an allotment requirement for the CBA, not players lost/gained. We I guess that answers whether or not we'll get any of those picks discussed at owners meetings as possible to help us out because of Katrina.

#44 in the 7th round guys... that's the 252nd pick in the draft. We could do better signing rookie free agents to contracts.

I really thought that since we werent given extra cap space or anything to help entice those big name free agents, that we'd cash in on the comp picks... 252? Dammit?!!

time has passed, and people have forgotten....well.....those of us that weren't affected by Katrina have forgotten.
