our bench looks better but not the starters. I say it is a wide open draft and almost anybody can be traded or cut. FA did not address much. THERE IS HOPE THEY GET A FEW JEMS OUT OF THE GROUP.

I didn't see Simmons (LB) nor Scott (S) (acquired from ATL) on your list.

hagan714 04-14-2006 07:38 AM

LB Simmons, Anthony 6-0/ 240 8 Clemson .
S Scott, Bryan 6-1/219 4 Penn State
simmons does not have a listing or a ranking at the site.
Scott on trade is not listed either
The only position I see us not having a need at is safty. But drafting one is not out of the question.

What I find conspicuously absent from all these signings is a cornerback!

I've become convinced that D Smith is going to play CB opposite McKenzie. Bellamy and Bullocks at Safety.

But then the only thing I've ever been right about with this team were my thoughts on Aaron Brooks.

Even if Dwight Smith does make the move to corner, the position needs depth. Who's left on the roster that could be a nickel or even a dime back?

hagan714 04-14-2006 11:45 AM

I think we have shored the nickle and dime pkg with the safeties we have added espacially if dallas does not match. look for a top pick to go in that direction to improve the CB crop.

Fred Thomas.........

Joey Thomas is still on the roster he was a second round pick for the packers maybe they are looking for him to step up

I think CB is something we use a 3rd or 4th on and try our luck on the second wave of FA. I thin we will see some good names come free about June 1 and may be able to fill out other depth needs then

You are right though, we have set ourselves up pretty well without going all Dan Snyder on the payroll.
