it does get interesting before the draft, does'nt it?
Chargers | Smith confirms Edwards on the trading block
Fri, 14 Apr 2006 06:46:54 -0700 Kevin Acee, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports San Diego Chargers general manager A.J. Smith confirmed LB Donnie Edwards is available in trade, except for the team's AFC West opponents. Smith would not confirm what might pry Edwards away, but it is a good bet a first-day draft pick would accomplish it. At the very minimum, his being shopped appears to be confirmation Edwards will not be getting the long-term contract he desires in San Diego and will be let go after this season. |

It would be interesting if at the end of that it saying... "the Saints are interested".

Hello? Donnie! Hey man, listen, you're 33.
I like Edwards, cause he's a beast in coverage, but he didn't really expect to get a long term deal, did he? Anybody know how many years he's wanting? I'd give him no more than three. |

Nah smitty... I'd like to see a link stating we've traded future conditional pick for him. If you can show me that, I'd faint.

If we get a pick in say, a trade for a bills LB that nets us a decent 1st day pick that we use to get Donnie?
hmmmmm........ |
I heard they would be looking for a 4th rounder... the big thing would be working out a contract, and I think he's looking for like 5 MiL a year.
