I wouldn't listen to much of what John Czarnecki has to say. It's about like listening to Ray Nagin saying he's gonna' rebuild the city of New Orleans. :roll: Alot of hot air with a strong stinch of BS in it!

We WILL NOT draft Vince Young.

Rest assured, Saints will NOT draft Young at this point. (Brees)

The Saints would only draft Young if they knew that he'd grow 3 inches, put on 100 pounds and score 10 points higher on the wonderlich.

if that is our second pick i may turn the draft off then crawl into a corner and cry

yeah young isn't coming but you have to put up a lot of smoke right now if you want to trade down... let everyone think we are going to draft 'there guy' so they would be interested in trading for out pick.

Because Young, though athletic, is as dumb as a sack of rocks! 8) Just me, but I think "the Brooks years" were about as much of the dumb athletic type QB Saints fans could handle in Black & Gold. :?

i don't think vince will be a good qb in the nfl. there is a good possibility i am wrong but it is how i feel and i can't shake it. that is my feeling anyway. i am not sold on matt either. i thought his arm looked like crap against nd and from what they said about his workout it looked like crap again. vince from what i read wasn't impressive in his workout either. i just see vince being a guy who can really run the ball well. i am not so sure he can play qb in the nfl.

I don't think we would draft Vince are Matt, but I think both of them will be pretty good pro QB, and you got to admit both of them or winners.

Amen. Young can't hold Leinart's jock. An Aaron Brooks.Mike vick hybrid does not inspire any kind of confidence from me, especially one that scored lower ont he wonderlic than Brooks, and has NEVER played in a pro style offense. No thanks.

patdog their teams were both winners. once again i don't put anything into the idea that one player makes your team win. there are 10 other guys on offense and 11 other guys on defense.

I don't want either guy, but Young is a stud. Anybody who watched the title game and the Ohio State game has to be impressed. Heres a number 0. Elbow surgeries on VY and number of first round picks he played with in that offense. Leinart had 4 (Bush, Leinart, Justice, Jarrett). The knock on Young is that he isn't polished. We have Brees and he would have time to develope. If we had to take one give me Young

Absolutely not. I watched the game, and watched a great college player tear up an at best average college defense, that Fresno State scored almost 50 points on, without a Vince Young. Unimpressed. And I have seen tons of UT games living in Austin and now San Antonio. If we draft this guy, it would go down as possibly one of the worst picks in franchise history, and there have been many terrible ones.

The only thing I could see the Saints doing is pulling a Chargers move. Taking Lienert or Young and forcing teams into a trade, and getting allot more in return. But I'm sure it would work allot better with Lienert.

Vince Young is either going to be a BIG hit or a HUGE miss. I dont see him being anywhere in between. He could be a savoir or he could be Akili Smith. I do think for him to be great, he has to do a lot of sitting and learning first. In that title game, i know that USC's defense was aweful, but at the same time, its not even close if Texas doesnt have Vince Young.

Fresno State and Notre Dame don't have Vince Young, and those games were both close. And I think both Fresno State and Notre Dame scored more points against USC. I KNOW Fresno State did, and they don't even have a Vince Young caliber player.

Well, you are going to have a hard time convincing me that Texas wins that particular game without Vince Young.

I'm not trying to convince you, but without a last minute drive vs. Notre Dame AND Fresno State, USC loses those two, while giving up almost 50 points to Fresno State, and 30 something to Notre Dame, and neither team has a Vince Young caliber player. He didn't do anything that special taken in the context of points given up by the USC defense over the course of the season. Texas doesn't win without him, I agree, but let's not make out that he beat the national champ LSU defense. Nowhere close.

further to my opinion is the fact that if you watched young in the agiies game he looked like crap. now i don't say that that game makes him crap but the same goes for the rose bowl. that doesn't make him great either

Quinn and Young are two totally different QBs. As a college football TALENT, Brady Quinn was not equal to Vince Young last year. I am not gonna knock Vince Young as a college player, there were few better last year. But Quinn was not his equal last year. Quinn is a damn good QB though.

I hope you're not trying to convince me on Young. I want nothing to do with that guy for the Saints.

oh not you whodi we are in perfect agreement on young. i was talking to buck. you are right that they are different qb's. brady will actaully be good in the nfl. he is playing in a pro style offense now because of weis. being an nd fan you know i am in love with brady.

I dont want Young either...regardless of any draft scenario that has been rumored...if the saints dont come away with Hawk, Ferguson, Williams, Huff, or Davis...then i am really going to be upset. We will have a whole lot more to talk about next week at this time.

I have no problem with that. I also think Quinn will be a good NFL QB. As a matter of fact, if Brees doesn't work out and we suck again next season, I hope we draft him. But he was not the talent Vince Young was. last season.

i am with you whodi. i would love to see him in black and gold if brees doesn't work out. one thing i will have to say about brees is that this guy is great as far as his work ethic and leadership. i am hoping he works out. i like what he is about
