Despite his reputation as a premier college offensive tackle, Strief is not good enough to play tackle in the NFL and is best suited to play guard. He has excellent size and natural strength and when he uses his hands aggressively he is a strong lineman who can hold ground vs. power rushers and drive defensive linemen down the line of scrimmage on down/side blocks. He is a very smart football player who consistently plays to the limits of his ability -- his smartness enables him to communicate very well with other linemen to adjust to defensive line stunts/loops. While he is a limited athlete and lacks the quick feet and agility to pass block well out on an island, he can move and adjust decently in a small area. He is a highly competitive blocker who consistently gives an excellent effort on every block. He is the type of lineman whose intangibles will enable him to be a solid backup offensive lineman in the NFL for a long time -- he can back up both guard and tackle positions. He may not be drafted because of his limited athletic ability, but he should definitely be signed as a free agent because of his size, natural strength, competitiveness, smartness and intangibles.

Your team stinks
