highlights to me- The average length of Bush's 16 rushing touchdowns in 2005 was 31.9 yards. -------hard to take that one in With a healthy Deuce McAlister and quarterback Drew Brees in the same backfield with Bush, the Saints have the same sort of football team they had back in 1978 and ’79. At that time, the Saints had Tony Galbreath and Chuck Muncie in the backfield with quarterback Archie Manning, and Wes Chandler, Ike Harris and Henry Childs catching passes from the old redhead. The Saints have the potential to be an explosive offensive team. But like those teams in the late ’70s, they will be saddled with a sub-par defense. --------I have thought the same thing, 35-31 games this year |
RE: Detillier
were better now than last year. It is a start.

RE: Detillier
our defense was ranked 14 overall last year the year before it was last in the nfl. With some of the free agents we picked up this year it should be better. The offense was the problem last year and I think we will be alot better on offense this year. It's going to be exiting to watch

RE: Detillier
To me that 14th ranking is a little misleading. We lost 13 games. It's not like we played dominating defensive ball but Carl Smith offense.
|
The number is misleading...when you are 30th versus the run, of course your pass defense is good because no one has to pass the ball. But i will say this, our offense being better will automatically make our defense better...being able to capitalize on turnovers, scoring early and making them play catch up, and not going 3 and out will all be factors in keeping our defense fresh and giving us a chance to put all of our safeties on the field...all 7.

You need to create turnovers to score off them.
