Can someone post the Bush ad in newspaper??

I read a post on nola.com that Reggie Bush, just like Brees, posted a full page ad in the Times Picayune thanking the city and so on for his warm reception. I was wondering if someone could scan and post that ad here like somebody did the Brees ad. Thanks!!

These two guys are such a breath of fresh air for the team and city. I cant wait until the season begins. Glad I have tickets to the preseason game against the Cowgirls here in Shreveport!!

It's a nice gesture, I credit Brees. Leadership at the QB position, who'd a thunk it?

It won't attach, the file's too big, but you can find it here.

Wow. What a gesture. What a guy.

Could it be possible that the New Orleans Saints (yes OUR New Orleans Saints) are turning the corner by signing guys like Drew Brees and Reggie Bush to lead our team to success? I've never had a feeling like this such as to say that our team can, and will, become one of the premier franchises in this league.

I'm looking forward to an amazing career in New Orleans.
Anybody think he really means it? I know we'll try to wrap him up with a six year contract, but is the lure of big endorsement deals elsewhere too much for Reggie to ignore in New Orleans?

I think someone said it best (maybe on another forum) that he may be happier than he realizes because here he will be THE man as opposed to all the other big name celebs and athletes in say NYC. Anyway, I doubt he will be here his whole career but if we can have him for at least 6 that would be great. I'm excited, and I think Payton is bringing in all the right types of football players and NOLA citizens. I can't wait until August for preseason!!! Maybe around that time I will be done with my PhD dissertation and I will be relocated to NOLA and I can get to the dome on a weekly basis. I was excited before we got him but now that excitement is in the stratosphere!.

By the way, thanks for posting the ad!

I was the one who suggested that he may be happier being THE guy in NO as opposed to just another guy in a big city. I think if we are winning we have a good chance at resigning him and having him with us for his entire career. I think he can do for us what manning and vick did for the falcons and indy. I mean, who cared about indy or atl before those 2 guys signed with those teams. No I'm not a fan of either team but they have put their respective teams on the map and I think Reggie could do that for us. PS, great ad, brought a smile to my face reading it.

I think Jordan would've gotten endorsement deals if his career was spent in Charlotte.

I think Peyton Manning and Tom Brady would be getting deals in any NFL city.

Vick isn't as popular as he is because he's in a big market.

I think if you're good enough the deals will come regardless of where you play. If Reggie does what's expected, it won't matter.

What day was the ad in the Newspaper?

pakowitz 05-04-2006 01:48 PM

looks like wednesday may 3rd...the date is in the top right corner...

I hope this reflects the sincere feelings of RB and not a public relations job. The remaining question will be the potential of a holdout, which begs the question will the Saints break tradition and pay RB more that the 1st round pick. RB's agent will negotiate and then the agent will hit his stop number. If Benson is unwilling to belly up to the bar then Benson will move back to his "most hated" status. If ever there was a time for Benson to put his money where his mouth is it is now.

I would bet the Saints PR dept. is responsible for the ad and paid for it. Not to take away from Reggie, but I think that's the way it worked.

There are a number of things that could keep Mr. Bush in New Orleans for a very long time. First, I don't think his marketablity is hurt by being in New Orleans. Do you think Subway, Addias, or Hummer are going to drop him because he's been drafted by the Saints? He will get his marketing opportunities because he's marketable already at the national level. Another thing that will keep Reggie in New Orleans is the city's beautiful women. I spent 26 years in the USAF and I travelled all over the world. There are beautiful people everywhere but not in the abundance it's found in N.O. Do you think the man likes to eat? Where can he get the kind of food he's been introduced to in the last 5 days? Allow me to answer that question...NOWHERE! Finally, I live in Atlanta, GA now and I tell people to look at New Orleans as an emerging market (don't know why none of your mayoral candidates didn't coin that phrase)...he will have an opportunity with all of his wealth to not only contribute to the recovery but also benefit from the city's recovery...he's at the right age to benefit from for the rest of his life...there will be countless opportunities for people with the kind of money he will have in the next few months...don't worry, you guys are going to treat him like royalty and he'll never want to leave.
