I'm new to this board but I've been reading it since the Saints signed Drew Brees. I'm a Purdue graduate and attended roughly the same years that Drew was there. I'm sure all the Saints fans are figuring out what Purdue fans have known for years (and what the GM of the Chargers apparently wouldn't accept) . . . that Drew Brees is a very good quarterback and an even better leader and person. I read this article this morning in the Lafayette Journal and Courier and thought you guys would enjoy it. Nothing that hasn't already been said before, but it reinforces the fact that Drew "gets it" unlike so many other professional athletes.

I'm a Colts fan but Drew Brees will always have a special place in my heart as a Purdue fan. Without a doubt, the Saints made the right decision in getting Drew and I believe they will easily be the most improved team in the NFL next season.
