ON THE OTHER HAND: Payton wasn't enamored with newly acquired defensive tackle Hollis Thomas, whom the club got in a draft-day trade with the Philadelphia Eagles.
"Hollis has got to get in better shape," said Payton. "He's too big right now." SUCKING WIND: Defensive tackle Johnathan Sullivan, who has sporadically attended the team's offseason conditioning program, spent more time on his knees than his feet during the afternoon workout. Told it seemed Sullivan, 6-3, 315, had some difficulty with the heat, Payton said, "He probably did." http://www.nola.com/saints/t-p/index...260.xml&coll=1 |
RE: sully at his best
to many buffalo wings again. He has to learn running back and forth to the snack bar does not qualify as conditioning.
Hollis is a seasoned Vet and has to restabilsh himself with the new team. He has not had to do that for quit some time know. I think he can. It is hard to get use to the heat and humidity again. I know that everytime i get of the plane to visit. How in the H##l did I ever work in it. is what I always say to myself. |
