New Orleans Visit
One of my brothers is a Giants fan so my brothers and I plan to make a trip to New Orleans on December 14 to watch the Sunday nighter between the Giants and the Saints. Any suggestions on must see attractions, restaurants, or malls?
None of us have ever been there so any input would help. |

Thanks alot fellas. There\'s nothing like getting opinions from people who know New Orleans rather than relying on advertisements.
I\'ve wanted to see New Orleans for so long but it\'s been hard to convince the brothers that it has as much to offer as our other options. Y\'alls posts will help me argue the point. |

You have to go to Tipitinas, and either to the Court of Two Sisters or Antiones for dinner or at least have drinks at Tropical Isle. If you are gonna take advice on places to go, make sure they have lived there. No offense to the other people but Mike Andersons and Brennan\'s. I think it\'s like having a Hurricane at the ***** Cat club on Bourbon Street. Not that it\'s not good but go to Pat \"O\"\'s for a real Hurricane if you know what I mean Can\'t fprget about The ACME Oyster House or Andy Capps if you want some New Orleans style music.

One difference Gator, our girls in Florida have all of their teeth in their mouth, not just one of two. Maybe that is what attracts you?

What\'s the average temperature in December? Are there any waterparks nearby that would still be open at the time? I\'ve been searching the web but the moose is getting tired and the reserve moose is sick.
Any sites worth checking? I really appreciate the help. |

One thing I didn\'t get to do last time I was there, but will the next time I go is the WWII museum (or DDay museum for all you nitpickers)- I hear it\'s great.

south cameron its a 1A school roughly about 250-300 kids
always ranked in the top 10 in football every year... several times being #1, we lost out in the semifinals this year... |

Have any of you heard of Uglesich\'s? I was told that it has the best food but it\'s kind of dumpy.

iceman, being a homeboy, born and breed in n.o. and bucktown, there are hundreds of good places to eat. some cheap, some not....if you\'re in the french quarter walk to the back of it which is esplanade, (have your gun off safey) and try a hole in the wall place called the port of call. best burgers, baked pototoes, and steaks for the bucks. ignore the roaches crawling up the walls and they won\'t bother you. the french quarter is fumigated nightly for roaches among other things, so just because you don\'t see em in the high class places does not mean they are\'nt there, (those are the places that spend the most on pest control). for breakfast or lunch you have to visit mothers on poydras just down from the superdome, again, best food for the buck.....if you\'re going to drink and you will, have a taxi bring you to nicks on tulane. this is where lucas got his bar scene in star wars from......... if you\'re hell bent on giving up the big bucks any of the nice rests. mentioned by others will gladly take it. there is one i remembered somewhere by st. charles and jackson sq. that has a hugh oak tree in the middle of it, two stories, nice settings, and great expensive food if someone could help with the name of it....if you have time for a little hunting, try the warehouse district, the rats usally run between 3 and 4 ft. this time of the season....there is one other bar i remember located where carrollton, st. charles and the river road come together that perhaps someone can help with the name also......good luck and don\'t travel alone in the french quarter if you value your life.........smitty

Thanks ssmitty. That was pretty thorough. Duly noted on the French Quarter. I\'ll be sure to stick with my three brothers everywhere and remind them to keep a mean look on their faces.
