I found this story on another board (non-sport site) and thought I'd share it with all of you, the guy who wrote this story was replying back to me for a question I had for him .

"O.K., so why would a guy living in Columbus Ohio (me) be such a Saints fan? It's all about vengeance. It was 1988 and the Saints were playing the Eagles for a Wild Card clinch. I was living with a girl at the time that was a true bit(h. We had become bitter rivals and I was moving out the following weekend. The hatred was palpable, you get the idea. Anyway, it just so happened her favorite team was the Eagles. I never really cared either way about them, until then. I prayed before the game and said in my prayer that if the Saints, whom I never really cared about until then either, beat these guys I would become a fan and go buy a Saints hat and shirt the next day. The Saints won, I became a fan and bought my shirt and hat, I put the sports page clipping up on my desk at work and moved out that next weekend."
