Saints LB Anthony Simmons has retired.
Impact: The notoriously unreliable former Seahawk was slotted to be a starter in New Orleans' weak linebacker group. As exciting as Reggie Bush makes the Saints offense, teams are going to run all season on their defense.

This is a big blow. At least he is retiring now and not deep into preseason.

I said he wouldn't play another down in the NFL.

How in the heck does he expect us to swallow that he was fine in all of the Spring drills and got penciled in as a starter, then somehow his wrist flared up when the team wasn't even practicing???? We don't need players with that mentality no matter how good they can play. Polley, Fincher/Foreman, and Fujita will give us a solid LB core this year.
