Junior Seau

Assuming he passes a routine physical exam on Friday, Junior Seau will have spent a grand total of three days as a retired football player.

Seau, a 12-time Pro Bowler, will now have a chance to earn a 13th trip to Hawaii while playing for the New England Patriots. If the Patriots find him healthy, he's expected sign a one-year, $1-million contract with New England, with the chance to earn extra money with some lucrative incentives.

Was he on someone's roster when he "retired"?

Help.

If Seau has a son, I say draft him now.

Forget that...draft his sperm and clone him

I guess they'll discuss it during the Chargers game tonight.

i think its kinda crappy that he "retired" from the no chance dolphins, to sign three days later with the 3 time super bowl champion patriots.... basically he said screw you to the 'fins to try for his own chance at a ring.... i really think that tarnishes some of his image....

at his age he wants the ring and besides he deserves one. he did to the NFL what the NFL has done to so many players and FANS. Used the system and screwed them. hats off to him. All within NFL rules. He is in a beautiful situation here in NE. The fans here love it.

i'm sure they do.... he fills an immediate need.... i just think it's like a slap in the face and if he wanted to go to new england he should have tried to demand a trade there, rather than hide under the veil of a "retirement"... what was all that crap about a graduation and stuff when he retired? i got news for him, new england will be lucky to get to the afc champ. game, and they might as well not even think of any super bowls this year.... the afc has teams that are better, and that will be better than them at this time and then again when the playoffs roll around.... so sorry junior, but looks like you won't be getting that all-elusive super bowl ring of yours...

hmmm do not be so sure about that. Last year they got the IR bug big time. The young guys on the line got alot playing time and they are stronger this year than last. Except the kicking game. All ready have beats out that move alone will cost them 3 games.
Now remember SD gave up on Jr. and dumped him. Miami was not going to trade him so he was left no other options. Besides the dolphins are happy to dump his salary. there are no tears being shed any where but with the fans. Fans need to remember Batimore Colts, LA Rams, St. Louis Cardnals, Hoston Oilers, ect. the NFL does not care. When a game gets blacked out the NFL does not refund your tax money. the taxes we pay should give us the right to see the game by itself. Ticket sales are the teams problem for putting a good product out on the field. do not get me started on this one :x :)
