I think I understand most of it. Not sure about the water park part.

Dhat, if you're gonna throw out what looks like jibberish, call it "Random Thoughts". That's how I get away with it.

Let me take this moment to bring up Aaron Brooks....Just kidding

hagan714 08-18-2006 06:41 PM

a little fired up huh. with beer in the boiler.

I'm all for trading Stallworth if we can get a quality player in return, no matter what the position. Just because he's a free agent next year is no reason to dump him for just any corpse though. We don't need to pick up someone else's crap just because they have a contract that lasts past the end of the season and can fill a roster spot. I'm confident that we aren't losing too much ground having to start Devery in place of Donte and move Hass, C. Horn, or Colston into 3rd or 4th spots.

D24pick 08-18-2006 06:45 PM

Hahahaha...

Not funny bro, you need help, and its Hass NOT HAAS

LongTimeFan 08-18-2006 06:49 PM

I can't belive I wasted my time reading this thread.
Was this a bashing on the Saints or is this the way you really see the team?
Explain will you?, uh....don't explain...

RE: Re: Be 4real

Trade Sully and Gandy = cap room in 2007
cut smith = cap room in 2007
sign a group of LB to 1 yr. contracts = cap room in 2007
whodat in addition for 2006 to make more cap room in 2007? Donte? Henderson? Beerman?,,,,,,,,,,,

So I think me see a trend here.
1 or 2 FA add in 2007 for the big bucks, keep the guys you want and still have some money for additional shopping.
stock pile picks to go into the draft and target the ones you want and wheel & deal to get them.
now you got a new young team with quality young Vets. leadership that will be with the team for at least 4 to 6 years,
now that is a plan.

To answer your Question honestly I would say that either Colston, or Jones could play Stallworth's position. Colston is a beast with great hands, and Jones looks like another Joe Horn to me. In fact, I believe Chris Horn could do it. They wont be quite as fast, however they all have much better hands.

hagan714 08-19-2006 08:24 AM

Of the 3 isn't Jones the fastest?

Smith counted, what, a little over a million? That's not exactly big savings, or a good enough reason to cut him.

I thought it was odd when I watched the Raiders/Vikings game and the announcers were talking about how Brad Childress wanted players of high character that wouldn't be in the news for negative reasons, etc., etc. and one of their starting safety's is Dwight Smith.
