Man ESPN is the Worse
If they want to get people to sign up for nfl.com broadcast they have succeded. I just signed up, so i do not have to not listen to this group. TO does not need to play because he already has more broadcast air time than the game. Think it is funny how they praise the Egales for last year saying maybe he learned something. Funny how the give him all the time on the air to weaken the lesson. Man I bet they do not have a roster for the saints in front of them. Scale on 1 to 10 i give them a 1.
:puke: We need Howard, Dandy Don and the gang back. |
RE: Man ESPN is the Worse
Not as if they have anything to talk about with us on the field. In case you haven't noticed we look like crap.
|
RE: Man ESPN is the Worse
We may have played a pretty crappy half, but you gotta admit that the ESPN crew sure appears to be rooting on "their" team -- the Cowboys.
|
RE: Man ESPN is the Worse
We've given them no reason not to root for Dallas...
Hagan, does nfl. com pick up Henderson and Hokie? And, how much is it? |
RE: Man ESPN is the Worse
Thiesman is the worst ever
|
RE: Man ESPN is the Worse
I couldn't believe when ESPN said they were putting him in the booth. He's worse than Madden, if it's possible to be even more nonsensical.
|
RE: Man ESPN is the Worse
i'm really enjoying all the glove repartee.
|
I don't agree that they show any decisive favoritism. I seriously think they want to say good things about our team but we have given them absolutely nothing to talk about tonight, so they keep talking about Katrina and all that.
If Reggie was racing all over the field they would be gushing. We got the most airtime out of any team as far as highlights go this past week. Face it we stunk it up tonight. |

Hey L.T......... why couldn't you have broken his esophagus or jaw, instead of his leg? Here's the deal, Mr. Taylor.......if you're out there, I'm offering an extra large line & a straw to break Theismann's jaw. :D P-L-E-A-S-E!!!!!!!!!! |
You nailed it gold rush...I ge the impression the ESPN crew wanted to cheer for new orleans, but we've given them nothing to even remotely praise.
|
Theisman=sucks!
|
30 bucks. yep wwl. you choice which teams local broadcast you want to listen to.
wwl had alot to say. not much good but at least something The ESPN crew was talking for the sake of hearing themselves. They did not even talk about the players except the big names. it was not a broadcast of a game it was like they are "ET" Tonight. The belong in a supermarket newspaper. Waiting for the alien got me pregent interview. |
does the stream break up a lot?
|
This isn't the exact way it went down, but it was very similar.
- "..and he has a twin who we covered last week that plays for Oakland..." - "Wow! How did you know he had a twin?" - "Because we talked about it last week!" Hahaha. |
It was indeed a terrible broadcast. Theisman is getting worse in time. People who know him from where he is from in New Jersey say people there think he is an %#$&*.
I counted three times Kornholer told flat out erroneous information. He seems out of his league. Just a talking newspaper head that has made it into tv. Trico was acceptable but was just lead along down the path with the other two fools. And the TO thing... it is so bad on ESPN I am going to write a letter to today. It is more like the National Enquirer or Sun of sports rather than sports coverage. I encourage you all to write and complain- Cut out the TO crap and please get rid of blabbering Michael Irvin. I wish I had an automatic mute everytime he opens his mouth. Truly, it may be a season for an alternative audio to these games. I'm no fan of Madden's descriptions that sound like comic books but it is better than this. |
A lot of good points here. First off....I too feel that ESPN tried to root for the Saints but we gave them nothing. In fact...I'd say they were reaching when they decided to show one of Reggie's famous cuts clearly highlighting the fact that there were 3 Cowboys around him when he made the move with cute little numbers and everything to highlight play. On the other hand one could swear that this was one of those weird episodes on a TV show where a main character did not take part in the show...T.O. This was supposed to be a preseason game. My guide said so. It was actually the "T.O. Show". But we are sorry to inform you that our host will not be available tonite due to health concerns.

ESPN did the public relations thing. they did not know a thing about the rosters on each team. they took the easy way out and stuck to the recent news players. ET format. They should skip the calling all together and do what the NFL Network does. Home team get its local broad casters calling the first half and second half goes to visitors. at least they stick to the game, review players on the field and not the "ET" story lines. sorry I do not see them wanting to cheer for us much less dallas our the game in general. They would not have gotten a job call a college game.

I wrote in to complain about Theisman and Irvin here-
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/...contact/espntv |
thanks kelly just sent my ET comments in
|
I also wrote Florio at PFT to post that link since he is a Theisman critic too. A link there would really generate some email. Write and ask him to-
florio@profootballtalk.com |
I'll take Kornheiser over Theisman anyday...If you listeneded to Theisman youd think Romo was on his way to Canton along with Hurd and Glenn...He reminds me of having to listen to Dan Dierdorf call a Saints/49'ers game years ago...gave all the respect to Young/Rice/that TE (cant remember his name he was so great) and said nothing of the Dome Patrol....
