Black Jerseys

Are we going to wear them this year?
Just wanted to know

LKelley67 08-22-2006 10:54 PM

Last I heard was white at home this year. The home team chooses so black at Dallas and Carolina probably (they wear white at home only in the first part of the season).

frankeefrank 08-22-2006 11:04 PM

that sucks, the white looks horrible

smyce 08-22-2006 11:07 PM

I must have missed the story. Why are we wearing white at home this season?

LKelley67 08-22-2006 11:16 PM

Can't remember the official line...
I think Payton thought the QB could spot the receivers easier.
It's a new era, so new look.
They wore white at home for the only playofff win in team history.

Read something about the white is easier to see. I like the white and the black, but I like winning games more. If they win and wear orange, I'm cool with that.

Not cool.....I want the black!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sea of white and gold in the stands would allow those easier to be seen WR to see the ball easier.
It would be the dark brown thing coming at them.
just incase they ask.

LKelley67 08-23-2006 08:30 AM

damn, all these decades I thought it was the sorry arse non football front office and poor coaching

hagan714 08-23-2006 09:03 AM

if they see the terd they can catch the terd.
sent a reciep to AB last year on how to "float a terd" to them but he did not use it.
If anyone needs it here is the link

Along the same lines of the white jerseys being easier to spot, I don't understand how a team like Marshall or Michigan State can see anything out there. Their uniforms blend right in with the turf. I can't stand to play one of those teams on a console game for that reason. Does it camoflauge the defenders and make it easier to hide them in coverage? Still it's gotta be more difficult to spot your teammates. Any thoughts?

Well, if green jersey teams have problems then I guess blue Boise St does, too.

If they want white jerseys...then they need to invert the helmet and make the pants black as well. Hmmm....wow that would actually look kinda cool.

shackney 08-24-2006 01:01 PM

As long as they never wear those Gold Jerseys again! When are they going to bust out the black pants, anyone know why they don't wear them anymore?

BoudinSandwich 08-24-2006 01:38 PM

I think the gold jerseys would look awesome if they could ever match the colors correctly. I remember seeing two different types of gold (jersey and helmet) and a yellow (pants) in what can only be described as a wardrobe catastrophy.

FatiusJeebs 08-24-2006 01:57 PM

OLDIES!!! I am so glad you said that. I thought I was gong crazy. There was a time when the numbers did not match the pants and the pants did not match the helmet and it looked all wrong.

AllSaints 08-24-2006 04:27 PM

we didnt wear black the last game cause dallas weres there white at home and blue away to we had to where white..... we will have the black jerseys....
