I missed this-

Rookie defensive end Rob Ninkovich served as the Saints' long snapper to start the game. The Saints know what they have in veteran long snapper Kevin Houser, one of the steadiest in the NFL. But if Ninkovich wins a job on defense and also can handle the long-snapping duties, the Saints might have a tough decision to make with Houser.
