Fantasy Football Advice

i need some help with a trade

i want to aquire frank gore in my fantasy league

i am willing to offer one of these WR's; which one would be the best trade for me?

thanks for the help

RE: Fantasy Football Advice

Trade Plaxico... Driver will catch 90 balls this season and Chambers will have over 1,000 and 10 touchdowns. Don't lose those two for Gore... which will probably be your third back?

thanks for the help

I'd trade Driver for him. GB sucks and he will eb double teamed cause they have no other receivers anyone should be worried about. Plus Favre is WAY on the downside of his career, while Eli has gotten much better and Daunte will be better for Chambers. Driver all day, if it was me. I don't see why anyone would have a WANT to acquire Frank Gore, outside of being a fan of his, but that's the way i'd go.

Gore is alright and im in a league of 12
his preseason is 5.7 per carry which is pretty nice
i cant think of another RB that people in my league would be willing to depart for

any suggestions about who could be a RB equivelant to one of those WRS?

Nothing wrong with Gore as a bye week back-up. He will do better than Barlow. But all your receivers could be better than him. The one with the most downside is Driver IMO.

I have Gore as my third back in a money league I play. With the Barlow trade to the Jets, Gore is the featured back. He's going to have at least 1,200 yards and 7 touchdowns this year... which is great of your third back. He had a solid year last season while sharing carries with Barlow and Hicks... this year it's all him. With Eli's emphasis on getting a higher completion percentage this season, you'll see him going more to his checkdowns... Tiki and Shockey. Expect Plaxico's stats to take a small hit this season.

nice thanks everyone for your advice always helpful to get someone elses perspective

i think im gunna go driver for gore

papz 09-01-2006 01:57 PM

I poop on your decision. :moon: But, good luck.

evanhp 09-01-2006 02:01 PM

lol ok but atleast you sold me on gore lol

saintswhodi 09-01-2006 02:12 PM

I have Gore as my 3rd down back in about every league. People just left him out there. He will do okay, but this is the 49ers. Who is the receiver that is gonna stretch the field and take the pressure off Gore? Vernon Davis? Maybe. But like I said, would definitely go Driver for Gore. Eli has improved nicely this off-season,a nd the whole offense will benefit. And the way Plax was upset about not getting the ball more last year, I would expect Eli to go to him more they way they have been chumming it up on the sidelines in pre-season. I have another RB who I think will be a STRONG 3rd back, but I am not divulging that. I am in a fantasy league with some of these guys. :-)

really? like who?:D

saintswhodi 09-01-2006 02:22 PM

Oh since the league I am in with these guys drafted already, I can let it out the bag. Brandon Jacobs. I got him in 5 out of 6 leagues I am in. That dude is gonna tear it up behind Tiki. If Tike gets hurt, I would put him right into my starting line up. He is a BEAST. Eveything Ron Dayne wasn't, with speed. Watch.

guess you're not taking whodat's league very seriously...

It's my 6th or 7th one. It is what it is. I had left it, and he asked me to come back after someone else dropped out. If you take Jacobs from me though, i'll drop out andl eave ya'll with 9 sucka!!!! lol :P

rofl

can't believe how the divisions turned out. only guy i know in my division in 08, and he's a little *****. i should be in there with you, greg, whodat, and d_it_up, but oh well.

saintswhodi 09-01-2006 02:46 PM

Well, I was in that other division, until I dropped out. WhoDat was acting like a lil bee-yotch cause I asked him if the league could be 10 teams instead of 12. He started on about how it was his league and I need to stop crying and accept it, then he made it 10 teams. lol Too funny.

Chambers will have a monster year if Culpepper stays healthy so I'd hold on to him for dear life, I tried drafting Chambers in my auction draft must it just didn't work out for me...
Burress is a WR that should have good numbers this season, Driver with a better team would be a keeper in front of Burress but with him playing in Green Bay he have a hard time getting the ball come his way due to a poor offense....
Trade Driver..

Good Luck

gandhi1007 09-01-2006 09:29 PM

Keep Chambers no matter what. He's going to have a big year. As for the other two.....Favre likes Driver, but it will be hard to get him the ball when he's running for his life. Green Bay's O-line is worse than ours, & that's BAD. Burress is a good red zone threat, but Eli has alot of weapons in Shockey, Toomer, Barber, & Jacobs when it comes to the red zone.
