This is what sounds odd: Guy pulls next to Foley in some car - the article says nothing about being an unmarked POLICE car (which, BTW, are pretty easy to spot anyway) just an unmarked car. If it is an ummarked patrol, it has lights and sirens. That the guy pulled next to him and identified himself as a cop tells me he wasn't riding a police car. So, what kind of car was he driving? Does it even look like an unmarked police car? If a guy driving, say, a Honda, pulls next to me and tells me he's a cop, I'd call 911 on my cell as I take off. After he "identified himself as a cop" (How? Saying "I'm a cop"? Badge?) Foley takes off. And this guy doesn't call for backup? He just follows him? No cell phone? No radio to call backup? Is this a chase at speeds beyond tposted speed limits? Without sirens? ...yep, lot of odd things |
Chargers placed LB Steve Foley on the non-football injury list, ending his season.
The Chargers can now avoid paying Foley the $1.655 million he was owed in 2006. It's a huge loss for a rugged Chargers linebacker group. Foley was shot by an off-duty cop after a reported high speed chase through traffic Sunday. Shaun Phillips will likely take his place in the starting lineup. Sep. 4 - 4:53 pm et I smell lawsuit. Too bad for Foley and the Chargers. That Phillips guy isn't a bad player but that defense will certainly miss hiim. |
