Hell yeah...... the greatest choke artist kicker in recent history is gone!!!! Man.....what a year!!!! No more Brooks, no more Carney, no more Haslett & his band of merry fools. It may take a couple of years, but this franchise is finally moving in the right direction.

I think Weatherford has tremendous potential. The things that worry me about him is he may outkick the coverage, then on the next try shank one off the side of his foot. Hopefully, he will turn out to be a great punter. The Saints will need great punting this year for sure...

ok, that wasn't funny, I was so happy to see Carney released, but the whole post dated thing threw me off.

Damn.......heart-broken again. :(

Wasn't fooled by the post - figured it was too good to be true. But I wouldn't be suprised if Payton were to dismiss Carney if he shanks easy FGs like the preseason game in KC.

This just in... Chase Lyman broke his wrist signing new contract.

if he stays i say we keep a running tab of how many points he costs us this year. i think it would be interesting to see the end result.

And to think I was on ESPN radio saying I read Carney was cut and that the Falcons picked him up, Jay , the radio guy on my local ESPN station said that he didn't here of it, I told him to check it out, ..

Wow, I can't believe that I just saw this news. I've been begging for Carney's release for so long. It's not that I dislike him as a person, I just dislike him as a game-loser. It's a new era people!
