For the Saints to beat Atlanta, McKenzie needs to step up
I'm sure they see it, and they would be nuts not to exploit the heck out of that corner of the field. McKenzie is in shape, looks the same, but has made some serious error throughout both games. I hope he gets it together, I still think he's a good cornerback. It's just, I mean, he's missing every tackle, out of place by one step here and there and I can see where Atlanta will pick on that side. Just some initial thoughts.

Just remember to tilt left in the first and third quarter, and right in the second and fourth when Atlanta has the ball. |

its gonna be a fun matchup, gonna be nice to have the Dome behind us with a 2 and 0 record. V

To win the game we need to stop their run offense. Dunn is running crazy. Also, I think we need to be more balanced offensively. I love Brees, nut having him throw 40+ times at 1 point and only running 14 is unacceptable. Can't wait for Monday night and another Saints win. Oh yeah, NOTHING wrong with Brees' Shoulder. 41 PASSES!!!! UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!!!

That is very key to our success so far. |
McKenzie's not the only one who needs to get his head out of his a**. Charles Grant needs to as well. The last 2 games he's looked more like Jonathon Sullivan than Charles Grant......jogging around looking lackadaisical & well.....down right lazy! I know this sounds weird considering the last few years, but we're going to have to depend on our LB's heavily in this game.......both stopping the run & in pass support. Our corners show alot of weakness & our safeties are young. Thank god Vick is more of a runner than a passer. Hopefully.... we put alot of pressure on him, but don't hurt him. If Schaub comes in, he'll torch our secondary. The line, other than Grant, has held their own thus far. Young looks possessed & Will Smith is well.....Will Smith. Let's hope the energy in the stands passes down to our boys on the field. The dome will be rocking like it hasn't in a long, long time!!!!

Gandhi, what you talkin about? Grant had more tackles (5) than Will Smith (3) yesterday. He didn't have any sacks, but he did force that fumble which led to the game-clinching Deuce rumble. I don't care if he doesn't have the sacks, if he's going to be making plays like that, I want him here.
|
I don't care what stats say. We went through that with Aaron Brooks. Smith looked to be going all out on every play.......Grant did not. Just one man's opinion.

Ghandi is the MVP of looking for the downside! If the Saints went to the superbowl and won 50-0 over Seattle this year, this would be Ghandi's Post...

To further prove your ignorance.......how in the hell could the Saints play the Seahawks in the Super Bowl? They're both NFC teams! |
Hehe I was thinking the same thing. How far in the future is this dream scenario? Is Hasslebeck gonna be traded to an AFC team?!?!
:) Grant is still good, but he has been taking plays off, and not following through... and that needs to stop for us to step up to becoming a REAL playoff competitive team. Craft sucks. Our Safties are good, and show huge upside, but are both young and can be taken advantage of. |
Maybe it was meant in jest but you do need to be careful when calling someone in derision.
Back to the thread- >>>My line has been that CB is the #1 need for this team right now. I wouldn't mind giving up a pick for a decent starter that can be kept for a while. Of the out of it teams, Al harris comes to mind first. Contracted and maybe he could make McK look as good as he did when they played together. >>>A vigorous pass rush WILL do wonders to compensate for corner weakness. Philly went to a #4 guy after injuries and is still doing well cuz their pass pressure has been insane. >>>I won't mind a full shutdown the run and key on Vick mode for Monday. Make his lame passing beat our questionable pass D. |
When is Byron Scott coming back?!?!? I read nothing but good things about him in preseason. I know he was injured but any word?

Ghandi...
The answer is they couldn't..but I was quoting you, so anythings possible Panama Red! I call you out because you are nothing but negative..The Saints are 2-0 and you focus on the negative...I can't stand "so-called" fans like you...Have you ever had a post that has resembled this..."we made some mistakes in the first quarter and had some turnovers, but I was extremely proud of our Team for staying the course and overcoming their early mistakes to beat a team that played a great game".. No! The answer is No..My point is that you will always look for the negativity! Life must have treated you poorly...

RE: Ghandi...
The both of you be civil with each other please. I don't think I need to watch this like a high school homeroom do I? We don't have time for petty fighting, so please curb it and be civil. And no we don't care who started what, you know what to do, act like grown-ups please.
