Roman Harper

I dont think this guy gets enough praise. I like this draft pick from the second we got him from alabama and will stick with it. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/foo.../players/7792/

RE: Roman Harper

If having a head on a swivel and being out of position be considered praise, then damn him with it.

Exactly. What has he done besides look like a rookie? He got beat several times by Winslow, with Winslow even drawing flags on him and stiff arming him at one point, and he picked Mike McKenzie off for Green Bay's first TD last week. What has this dude done to deserve praise? He HAS been on the field, but there are 21 other guys who need praise for that too if that's all it takes.

Whodi,

I agree with you on Harper. The question is why does Payton and Gibbs roll him out as the starter every game? What does he bring to the table that other safeties such as Stoutmire doesn't.

I don't have an answer, just asking the question.

I think it's just because he's a rookie and going through the typical growing pains. Might as well throw him in the fire now and get that over with, he's still young and the experience will serve him well for next season. Besides, isn't this a 'rebuilding' year? Why let Stoutmire or someone else take up that valuable playing time? I think Bullocks and Harper are going to be a great tandem for years to come. Now if we can just get an honest to God cover corner we'll be in business.

dont try to pull anything on him because of mckenzies pathetic playing, and hes done a lot, hes all over the field ,hes a rookie and looks like he has more experience then some of the veterans ,kind of like when he told stoutmire to run out of bounds after the int ,and he has a sack that was pretty nice :x

I have to agree with Narwal cause I have no other explanation. It has to be to gain him the experience cause we were not expected to do much. He hasn't been HORRIBLE, but he hasn't been special either. He's just been there. I hope he gets to be more of a playmaker as the season goes on, but I haven't seen anything yet that makes me think too much of him.

Man,

This is the biggest game in New Orleans Saints history. Bigger than the playoff win, bigger than the Carolina opener last year. What happened in that stadium to all of those people...that's still there. I don't hate Harper, but this is NO TIME for B.S. If the dude isn't ready for this, play Stoutmire or give damn Bellamy a call. We need that spot solid for 4 qtrs. period. This is not a game for hanky-panky. Play Harper the rest of the season, but playing like a rookie and needing experience has no place in the Dome on Monday. "F" That!

man Bellamy is garbage didnt he get cut? I wouldnt play him in a high school game

Harper has many things Stout doesn't have

Like speed, quickness, a brain, strenght, and youth
