Who is your player of the game?
Bryan Young. Whether running the ball inside, dropback passing or in the shotgun, Young's penetration forced Vick into uncomfortable situations and unexpected improvisation.
1st alternate - the LB corps. They put a stranglehold on the line of scrimmage. 2nd alternate - Steve Gleason. You think he couldn't believe he wasn't blocked at the line?! Must have been slow motion for him from that moment on. |
RE: Who is your player of the game?
I'd have to give out 53 games balls.
Loved with way we played at the CB position. That was the best performance I have ever seen by our secondary in the history of the Saints. |
Oh man, I can't pick just one... so many of our guys did a great job last night.
I'm going to say 'the fans.' |
2 Game Balls - Payton and the city of Nawlins
|
Payton, the Mastermind
If for one player only Fujita. 'The Asian Assassin' as Joe Horn called him. |
FUJITA!
He was AWESOME! Everyone played unbelievable, Young was impressive to. I can not yet beleive how we are winning games with DEFENSE.......Did I just say that? YEP winning games with DEFENSE, Boy that sounds good. |
I would have to go with Fujita, what a monster he is turning out to be.
On O, Brees for his calm leadership, and something not seen in a while by Saints fans, lack of mistakes. |
Fujita, Very Aggressive.
Panthers fans here in Carolina are very humble right now. They do not want to talk about the game Sunday. I am not saying anything because I do not want to Jinx them but I think we will wipe them off the face of the earth. Atlanta beats Carolina 20-6 Atlanta beats Tampa 14-3 Carolina beats Tampa 26-24 You think they are worried. Atlanta was all over Jake Delhomme. What do you think we will do to him? |
Fujita, if only one can be awarded to a single player.
The D-Line ofr a squad, followed closely by our Special Teams unit. Hell, the whole damn team deserves game balls for that performance! |
Fujita on defense. Fujita was everywhere! Colston on offense. How many clutch 3rd down grabs can a rookie make?
|
Whole team played amazing. One player that got me particularly excited was Bullocks. He blocked Mort's FG and was swarming to the football on D all right.
|
Payton's playcalling. (With exception to running Reggie at the goalline. Everyone was ready for that.)
And Fujita's leadership. You can see it spreading throughout the defense. |
Gleason also should get mentioned here as well.
He got the whole night kicked off right! |
Fujita. Six tackles, two assists, a sack and a forced fumble. He helped shut down Vick, and looked to be leading the Defense.

give a shout to fred thomas who has been a TEAM first kinda guy for years
|
The whole team played great. Harper's name was called out alot too. I think he played a great game.
|
I pick Fajita for Broke leg Joe. Fujita is awesome.. he is a leader....I say for defense, he gets it...on offense, Colston did a great job getting open, even though the field was bad and the grass was new and he was forced to run with his legs under him (sorry, couldn't resist). And finally, Gleason on Special Teams.
In reality the city deserves it more than anything..the city and the fans... I was in my living room, and the sound from the Dome was awesome. I have been to so many games, but you could feel the power in that place. :saintsfan: |
