Sean Salisbury just blew me away!

On NFL Blitz, Sean Salisbury said give me a quarterback with a sore shoulder over a qb with a shredded knee anyday.

He then says BREEZE IS RIGHT UP THERE WITH MCNABB AND GROSSMAN FOR MVP!!!!

Im sorry but when is the last time you heard Saints and MVP in the same sentence other than a "game MVP"?????

RE: Mortenson just blew me away!

I was thinking about that earlier. If we continue to win, you have to consider Brees for MVP.

The last time we had a player mentioned for MVP was Archie.

I think the O-line should be in it for MVP, 0 sacks today. 0. Against a team that had 23 before this game.

RockyMountainSaint 10-16-2006 01:42 AM

I don't know about Brees for MVP but........
It is a wonderful thing to watch our QB not kill drives over and over.
To know that we have a level head on the field and a coach that is smart and patient has lowered my blood pressure significantly.
btw, Drew Brees in the 4th qtr = Poise

LongTimeFan 10-16-2006 05:27 AM

Not sure if Brees will win the MVP award but he'll be in the running.(Grossman, McNabb)
I do think however that coach Payton will be coach of the year.

I think Brees or Deuce are either together, or one of them individually, a lock for comeback player of the year. Brees should be in the MVP talk though. He is prob the single greatest FA the Saints have ever signed, and quite possibly gonna go on to become the best QB the Saints have ever had, with respect to Archie, who coulda used some of the talent Brees has around him. Go Drew.

Well usually the phrase MVP and Saints goes like this..........."The QB today really solidified his MVP campaign against the Saints today.............."

If Brees isn't considered for MVP, Comeback Player of the Year is likely.

And Coach should be hands on favorite for COY.

Hey isn't Salisbury the same guy that swore up and down that when Ron Mexico threw over 3oo yrds. twice back to back he was the real deal? With that being said he really needs to come off our wheels.... SALISBURY < :biggun:

Sean Payton as Coach of the Year is a lock.

Sean also said at the begining of the year that Culpepper was the best move of the offseason and that Brees would NEVER come back from shoulder surgery..........OH WAIT we had some of those people in this same forum. boy how things change.

TheGambler 10-17-2006 09:07 AM

Culpepper: Good (sometimes great) while throwing to Moss

Last year without Moss: Crap.

This year without Moss: Crap.

I said it last year and I'll say it again: I'd have kept Aaron Brooks before I would have made any major deal to bring in Culpepper. It would have been a lateral move at best.
