I sure wish we would have signed this guy. Considering the money he got, I think we could have afforded it.

Pat Yasinskas for the Charlotte Observer reports the Carolina Panthers have signed free agent DE Kavika Pittman (Broncos) to a one-year deal for the veteran minimum. He will count $475,000 against the salary cap this year.

This guy may have changed but so far in his career pittman has had loads of potential but no game. Dallas thought he would anchor their line when they drafted him but he never did anything. Obviously was not much in denver either and is now signed to the league minimum.

He may have changed this off season but I doubt it. I would not be surprised if he does not make the final roster with carolina.

I know I have said this more than once. I seriously think we need to keep an eye on the Panthers. These guys have made some real good moves.

Carolina is pretty impressive, they are gonna make alot noise this year. I hope they cut Lamar Smith so we can add him as a backup to Deuce. Deshaun Foster will certailnly be the number 2 RB in Carolina.

Lamar had one good year. I was depressed when he had that good year after we let him go but he hasn\'t been much before or since.

I agree with JOESAM about Pittman. For $475,000.00? Chump change. This by no means hurts the already tough Panthers defense. Oh yeah, they\'ll be good. The NFC south as a whole will be tough. Any of these teams could go to the playoffs next year. But we all know that it will be the Saints representing the NFC in the the Superbowl next year right? :D
