Did you see Vick on inside the NFL on HBo ha totally dished his team he said he would studied game film more and put the work in ! Shouldn't he be studing it now and putting the work in then he said I really don't have a 1# reciever (well if could throw the ball you would) and no one really appricateds me (well it's all about you mike vick) and I'm tried of getting hit and I should run as much (that all you really want to do because you know you can't throw the rock or hit the the side of a barn) because I won't last in this league and I'll get hurt, Can't wait for that to happen.............

Like I said to my friend who's a redskin fan, and fromt he movie TROY "LET ATLANTA BURN! LET ATLANTA BURN!" IT's over for the team I mean Vick has been to Vanilla he had one good QB year at 2936 yrds. 16 TD's and 8 ints. I knw you guys hate AB but his best year that year add his Yards passing and TD's plus his rushing yards and TD's he still didn't have a better year than AB. I agree with you jr, I think the end is near for Vick in Atlanta too, there's just a lot of pressure on him there, thing is it won't be better for him on any other team , only would get worst if he moves to a new team.

If I'm not mistaken, Matt Schaub's contract with the Falcons expires this year. Should be interesting....

Yeah every where that's a big topic pretty soon the "experts" you knw the one's with there head up their culo will make a statement about this but by week 10 Vick will be benched.

If I'm the Falcons I'd be worried right now, Vick isn't cutting in Atlanta and Schaub's contract is almost up, if I'm the GM for the Falcons I'd start working on Schaub's new contract..

gees i have been saying for a while on here that the guy wasn't a good qb. i was told back then that all he did was win. now that doesn't happen anymore.

spkb..I've been with you the whole time bro on Vick, like you I always thought he wasn't much of a QB, the Falcons fans are starting to jump off the bandwagon this year, IMO their fed up with Vick and want a change, I can't say I blame them..

That is correct. This is the final contract year for Schaub, he will become a restricted free agent after the end of the year.

... to be fair to Mora Jr, if you've got the number one rushing offense in the league, why wouldn't you run it first AND second down?

Vick needs to understand he's supposed to be a leader, not a problem, for his team. Leaders don't bad-mouth the organization or the coach. You smile and nod and say 'we're working on some things to make ourselves better.'

I've said it hundreds of times and I'll keep saying it... Vick is the best RB playing at QB in the league.

schaub should qb and they should use vick like we use reggie

If Vick was a smart man, (which I'm seriously debating after seeing his interview on Inside The NFL), he would welcome a change to runningback and a change of scenery. He will NEVER be a good QB.

... because everyone is expecting you to run it on 1st and second, putting 8-9 in the box, therefore you have man on man coverage on your WRs and can torch them with play action?

The Falcons are getting beat because no one respects their passing game. They stick 8-9 in the box to stop Dunn and Vick from running, and Vick doesn't have the passing skills to make defense pay, other than the occasional bomb. Even in obvious passing downs, neither the Saints defense or the Giants defense went to nickel or dime packages, because the odds are way against the Falcons torching you with the passing game.

I'm not trying to defend Vick, though. I have never cared much about him as a player, even when he was being hyped while at VPI, and I do think the Falcons would be amuch moer complete team with Schuab at QB.

... as for Vick's comments, that's what happens when you put someone on a pedestal...

Man, I hope they cannot afford the accelerated cap hit they will take by cutting him and consequently have to let Schaub go.
No-one else in their right mind would take on that contract in a trade.
I hope the Falclowns are stuck with their "running back who takes snaps" for years to come.
