Let's Not Anoint the Saints as Saviors Just Yet

It's getting so I hate the New Orleans Saints the way I used to hate the Dallas Cowboys. Well, maybe not the same way. I root for whoever's playing the Cowboys, but I don't have anything against the Saints — I just don't want to hear any more about them.

It had a bit more balance than the opening statement above. Quick hits:

1) He's tired of the Katrina tie in for the team. After the Atlanta game, frankly I was too.

2) He points out that the Saints are much improved in many areas. Brees, scoring defense, scoring offense.

3) Next 4 games are a tough stretch. Winning 3-4 makes us an elite NFC team.

4) Bush is not the savior. Pointed out his 3.0 YPC average.

All in all it's pretty balanced. In fact I find it refreshing against the typical NFLN and ESPN drivel we get for the Saints.

I tend to agree also... I am kinda of tired of the media saying the the Saints are saving the city. Now, give the Saints credit, they are a really good morale boost on monday morning when they have won on sunday.

As for the end of the story where he called Reggie a bust. He must be retarded. Yeah, he might only be averaging 3 yards a carry but you have to look at the big picture. He does everything. Run, catch, return punts. Hell he doesn't even have to touch the ball and teams pay attention to him.

The Reggie being a bust thing is stupid. But I'm with him on getting tired of hearing about the city and not the team.

I'm balanced in the middle. He does have some good points but I still hope he chokes to death while going down on his boyfriend.
