Panthers | R. Davis waived
Tue, 24 Oct 2006 13:51:32 -0700 Panthers.com reports the Carolina Panthers have waived LB Rod Davis not a bad MLB prospect. 6-1 246 4.85 S.Miss http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/rod_davis |
hagan, who do we cut to put these players on the roster or PS? Most likely the Beerman will be cut because there is NO ROOM at the INN for him.
BTW; keep those post coming, I, for one, enjoy those pearls you find in the myrid of oysters out there! |
You can never stop looking for better players who might improve the team even though we are doing quite well. Keep the posts coming , I enjoy reading them.

Speegle: I like the read up on this guy... but there has got to be more to the story???
Sounds like we could use this guy anywheres until he fits in. Get him on Special Teams. |
Rod Davis was the only linebacker who had any success at stopping LT2 during his senior year.

look at our depth chart and you will see we are a little low on DE. Nick would be a nice project on the practice squad.

Browns Team Report
Print this | E-mail this | Comments on this article: 0 Posted: February 3, 2006 PERSONNEL ANALYSIS:Even though the Browns will draft at least one linebacker, possibly in the first two rounds, it will be a big help if Nick Speegle continues to develop. Speegle was the only 2005 Day 2 pick to offer any immediate help, and though that was almost exclusively on special teams, the 6-6, 250-pounder also seemed to have the head to become a member of the linebacker rotation. With Kenard Lang likely to depart, there should be an opening behind Chaun Thompson and Matt Stewart. Even if a free agent is added, which is a strong possibility, there still will be plenty of room in Crennel's 3-4 scheme. He likes a deep rotation, provided backups prove they are worthy of playing time. Speegle offers a serviceable mix of size, athleticism and smarts. He could be a late bloomer, having grown up in New Mexico a bit short on confidence. . . . http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn...ic.php?t=59025 |
