Just wanted to introduce myself. I just found this forum by way of saintsreport.com. I live in Bucktown and have been a Saints fan my whole life (I'm 26). This looks like a really good site for knowledgable Saints discussion and I'm looking forward to it. GEAUX SAINTS!!!

Welcome to the B&G 980, we have a good group of people on this forum who all love the Saints so you should fit right in being your a fan of the Saints.
Also, if you would like to chat here on Sunday for the game stop by, we normally have a few of us who chat while watching the game, just click on the Chat button above the screen, we normally start the chat about 30 minutes before the game.

980, deffinitely make it for the away game chats. Those are when we have our "spiritual leader" Halo online. It's great talking to people from around the country about the team we all love while the game is going on.

Heh, all this spiritual leader talk reminds me of one of my favorite monents at a live Saints game. I'm in Carolina, in the upper decks around the fourty yard line. It's the game when Ricky ran the ball in on the last play of the game from the one. Anyway, that whole drive this guy (Saints fan) is coming up to me and telling me how I've "GOT TO BELIEVE". By the end of the drive the few Saints fans were all around us. Him screaming something about belief and me chiming in "amen" or something. Great fans make for great experiences.

LTF, been there twice. Loved both times, trying to find a way to get back this year, but looks like it'll be next year. Just can't afford the flight, hotel, AND tickets. Maybe I should just sleep on the streets. :?

I normally go to at least one game per season with the exception of last year, I came very close to buying season tickets this season but didn't, I regret it every Sunday now..
I'm talking to a few people around where I live to buy a couple of tickets to any home game, I know some one who has season tickets who thought about skipping the Ravens game but since being 5-1 they changed their minds, I can't say I blame them..
I love going to the Dome when the Falcons are in town, the Falcon fans can be fun at times, other times they get under your skin but in most cases it's all good.
There's is nothing better than getting in the Dome about an hour before kickoff & talking with otherr fans, the excitement is just sick.

I agree with Poydras, that is a really cool tat. And I'm usually not so much into the tats. For instance, Weatherford's arms really scare me.

really, i was born and raised in bucktown about 26 yrs before you.......
you may remember the east end bakery, but i doubt it........
you probably visit the little time saver at the corner of live oak and lake ave.....
along with all the seafood outlets and restaurants..........
alas, the westend is gone.................sniff, my old stomping grounds........
you may or may not play baseball at lakeshore playground with the same bunch of guys that's been playing there for the last 40 plus years and if not look for them every sunday morning around 9am or 8am if you wanna start drinking early. ask for ned and tell him smitty sent you and you wanna play............
i've been gone for 14 yrs but nothing much changed except for when katrina blew through.
and of course you know where r&o's is, so get you azz over there and have some gumbo, a seafood po boy, and some red beans and rice. be sure and tell em smitty sent you and be sure and bring your wallet.........................smitty

Yea i'm not huge on the tats either. Mine is on my leg so I can cover it up for work and any other time I want/need to look nice or professional. I just wanted to show my love for the Saints and all of New Orleans and bleed black and gold!

Smitty, I actually have only been living in Bucktown for a couple years now but I've been living around New Orleans my whole life. And I do frequent the store at the corner of lake and live oak...lake avenue discount...as well as Seminole grocery store. I went to Deanie's after the Eagles game and Bobby Hebert was doing the Point After from there so I went and got his autograph. All in all, I do love Bucktown though and I do miss the restaurants that Katrina took from us :cry:

It would be fun if everyone here had a picture or a feature like your tat so we could recognize each other in the SuperDome. Then again, I guess you can't see it if your wearing long pants.

I'll often look around at the games and wonder, hmm, is that someone whose posts I've read?

I know it would be a needle in a haystack kind of thing but a couple of times I've seen people do a double take like they might know me from somewhere. The closest person I've found in this forum is in sec 121 which is below me and to my right.

I am in section 648 rows 11-13 (we have 19 people together). Anyone near me?

I'm in the same section...how wierd is that? I'll be sure and check you guys out this week.
