our season record predictions

Ok, we are a third of the way through and most analysis had us going 6-10, 7-9 at best. We are 5-1 and going strong! So seriously, taking a hard look down the stretch, what do you think we will end up at?

Baltimore- we got this one! - Win!

Tampa Bay- strong but beatable- Win!

Pittsburgh- this aint last years champs- Win!

Cinncinnati- may be tough because every week you never know who is going to show up- ?

Atlanta- In their dome and they will want revenge- ?

San Francisco- yeah ok - Win!

Dallas- Romo or Bledsoe? Bledsoe or Romo?- Win!

Washington- again yeah ok- Win!

N.Y. Giants- Manning's a tough kid, he's got swamp water in his blood, another tough one- ?

Carolina- New years eve & home in the dome, regular season ender & a blow out!- Win!
and ...... ON OUR WAY TO THE PLAYOFFS!

I am thinking 12-4 and seriously thinking about tickets to Miami!

Wow! You have been drinking the Kool Aid!

I'd say 10-6 is more likely. Which puts us in the playoffs. Maybe even a playoff win, but no Super Bowl this year.

RE: our season record predictions

No, I have not been drinking Kool-Aid, I hate Kool-Aid and I am not dreaming either.
This years Saints are different, they wanna win, can win and have won! I realize that things have not been pretty but they are getting the job done! I may be a hopeless romantic and love my team but I am not blind nor stupid. I know we have a really tough road ahead of us, but things are differant this year and anything is possible. This team and coach are really making things happen.
BELIEVE AND HAVE FAITH!
12-4, or 11-5, if and I say IF we have an off week!

redjem25 10-27-2006 01:01 PM

and there are several people in my office that agree with me

JOESAM2002 10-27-2006 01:50 PM

11-5 no doubt. I never predict the Saints but this year is different. I felt it at training camp.

I am glad you agree with me too and we ain't drinking no kool-aid!

hagan714 10-27-2006 03:29 PM

11-5 including one let down game. we need to go undefeated at home for a better record

iceshack149 10-27-2006 04:26 PM

New team, new coach = different results for an organization that is known for being one of the worst teams in professional ball? Perhaps.
But as a lifetime Saints fan I've been down this road before only to have my heart be crushed and my dreams dashed. I am hopefull yet I expect little and hope to be continually impressed.

Keep my expectations low and a win makes me so happy while a loss is easier to swallow.

Off subject, I posted a fantasy question in the Big Easy off topic section and hope that some of you gurus can help me make a tough decision for the weekend. Thanks for your consideration.

I say 12-4, home field advantage. On 12/31 our starters will be watching the game from the sidelines. Carolina will be lucky to get a wild card only to be knocked out in the first round.

Bobaganoosh 10-27-2006 07:56 PM

11-5 is what i have in mind...there are going to be games where the ball doesnt bounce our way and we make a mistake here and there...and assuming we stay away from injuries, i like our chances against anyone in the NFC.

xan 10-27-2006 08:09 PM

I'm waivering between 10-6 and 11-5. Injuries may be the downfall of this team down the stretch. I'm not ready to change my 10-6 prediction from the preseason.

LongTimeFan 10-27-2006 08:24 PM

I think the Saints have a great chance at a 10-6 record, if the Saints beat the Ravens Sunday they only have to win 4 out of the next 9 games to end the season at 10-6

UK_WhoDat 10-27-2006 11:43 PM

OK - I was the most pessimistic at 5-11 BEFORE this fantastic 5-1 start.

Well the 10 games to finish is really tough. Actually every NFL game is really tough before it starts. So my pessimistic self says at least 3 more wins.

But if we shoot the Ravens down, then Payton's coaching could bust the whole thing open, and the Saints lose 3 perhaps 4 on the run in.

Heck I will take 11-5.

I am loving it. No one talks NFL football on Modays now, cos dem Saints are creating a stir. Yes sir, I am loving it :D

chRxis 10-29-2006 03:55 PM

we have to win tampa, washington, san fran, dallas, and pitt.... those are the remaining games that i look at and say that we should win.... the carolina and atlanta games to me are losses, as is the giants... the cinci game will be toss up... now that we're 5-2, we shoud be at least 10-6 if we win the game we're supposed to, based on win-loss record... but then again, you can't always go by that, b/c a 4-2 team can come out and whip a 5-1 team's ass, as seen today

redjem25 10-30-2006 03:10 PM

For the record, I am still sticking with my 12/4 or 11/5 predictions.

jdiggy 10-30-2006 04:09 PM

14-2

Until the next time they lose. Then it'll be 13-3.

GO SAINTS!!!
